Re: STEEZ A/DAIWA MORETHAN DIFFERENCE

I cannot see a difference in the specs apart from cosmetics and a longer handle on the morethan. maybe the spool has a different spring or inductor but mechanically they are the same.

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

Not Morethan related directly, but I notice a few comments on the sideplate. I will say this, the new Steez sideplate is one thing I really don't like about the new versions. It's much harder to adjust the brake dial. With OG versions/style, it was quick and easy flick with a thumb. Now sometimes I...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Japan Tackle has the Alphas and Steez models up for preorder. I've never preordered from them before, any bad experiences? Otherwise they've been great to work with but just wanted to make sure before taking the plunge. I see the 8.1 are still not available for preorder. I preordered reels from the...

Re: Daiwa Ryoga, Millionaire, Coastal, Lexa...?

I am a Daiwa baitcast man and primarily fish Bay and Estuaries out of small boats, I use a few Steez a's and a original Ryoga 1016H and I am very happy with my choices, I use a variety of lures from 4 to 6 inch soft plastics , vibes , minows, crankbaits, swimbaits etc with out issues. the above rere...

OK I was able to copy them. Here is the 7.1 morethan. I am not able to mention the name of the group. It is secret and to name it risks eviction.

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I saw the pictures that prove the gear isn't aluminum, scrolled down from the provided link and read the comparison of Steez A versus Morethan PE SV TW and he included pictures of both. What are the benefits of bronze versus brass? It looked from the pictures that both reels had a clicking drag. Th...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

To a certain extent Brass is self-lubricating, which is why it's used for things like locks. I don't know if the same applies to bronze. Maybe moreso than aluminum or steel, but not as much as brass so it won't feel as smooth. I know the Luna has a bronze pinion, a will feel geary without ample lub...

Yep correct. C6191 is what's called aluminium bronze and alloy that is known for its corrosion resistance. No mention of gear manufacturing in its list of uses though. Bit used a lot in marine applications

Re: G1 Duralumin Drive Gear

I don't believe the Steez A and Steez SV TW gear sets are interchangable...didn't fact check that but I thought I read that. I have a few of both A's and SV TW's. Had to replace the gear set on just 1 but I use it for flipping/pitching jigs in wood /w heavy fluoro. Knew it would happen, didn't care...

it is in the new LT sizes and has an alloy monoque body like the exist and larger HD certates. the line capacities are quite generous considering the size of the reels.
