Re: Anyone use the Bone Combat Beast or Black River rods?

I don't get on TT as often as I use to , But I will give you what I know about the rods as the Bone rods are pretty much all I use, The combat beast rods are quite a fast tip and require a different casting style. I actually have both the black river and Combat beast travel rods the 664RXH and the b...

Re: Ryoga 1016 SV

I will give you some info I do know about the reel. the Black and red ryoga sv was only available in the daiwa south east Asia market. its gear set up and side plate is from a ryoga 1012 bay jigging reel and is why it is heavier than the original ryoga 1016, due to the wider sideplate and deeper gea...

Re: Steez A spool options

pretty much any daiwa 34mm speedshaft spool can be used in a steez A, from original TDZ and OG steez spools to T3 1016, all rcs 1000,1016 and 1012 spools SV and Magforce Z, zillion 1016Sv plus megabass IS, ZPi, and Rays spools. the list is huge so you could spend a long time trying them out to find ...

Re: Steez A revisited...

another spool option no one has mentioned is the rays finesse spools and the steez A can be transformed into a saltwater bfs reel. if the megabass IS spools will work in the reel plus OG steez and TDZ spools.

Re: Calling all Steez SV TW Experts

the Steez TW SV is a little over braked, if you compare a steez 1016 sv spool beside a zillion 1016sv spool you will notice the steez spool has a deeper inductor, try a zillion sv spool or get the rays inductor kit and use the rays inductor in the steez spool. the rays inductor made a massive differ...

Re: Can't remove screws on Bass or Die knobs

for those stubborn screws I have cut the end off a Phillips screwdriver to fit into a soldering iron, by holding it on the screw head the heat transfers and softens the Loctite. then use your good screw driver to remove the screw. may have to hold the iron there for a few minutes but saves messing u...

Re: STEEZ A/DAIWA MORETHAN DIFFERENCE

I cannot see a difference in the specs apart from cosmetics and a longer handle on the morethan. maybe the spool has a different spring or inductor but mechanically they are the same.

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

Not Morethan related directly, but I notice a few comments on the sideplate. I will say this, the new Steez sideplate is one thing I really don't like about the new versions. It's much harder to adjust the brake dial. With OG versions/style, it was quick and easy flick with a thumb. Now sometimes I...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Japan Tackle has the Alphas and Steez models up for preorder. I've never preordered from them before, any bad experiences? Otherwise they've been great to work with but just wanted to make sure before taking the plunge. I see the 8.1 are still not available for preorder. I preordered reels from the...

Re: Daiwa Ryoga, Millionaire, Coastal, Lexa...?

I am a Daiwa baitcast man and primarily fish Bay and Estuaries out of small boats, I use a few Steez a's and a original Ryoga 1016H and I am very happy with my choices, I use a variety of lures from 4 to 6 inch soft plastics , vibes , minows, crankbaits, swimbaits etc with out issues. the above rere...

OK I was able to copy them. Here is the 7.1 morethan. I am not able to mention the name of the group. It is secret and to name it risks eviction.

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I saw the pictures that prove the gear isn't aluminum, scrolled down from the provided link and read the comparison of Steez A versus Morethan PE SV TW and he included pictures of both. What are the benefits of bronze versus brass? It looked from the pictures that both reels had a clicking drag. Th...
