Hello everyone:
I will be traveling back and forth for the next 6 months to this area. I am looking for some good guide recommendations for targetng largemouth bass. I hear the water is still cold so wondering what the best time to plan a trip would be.
Thanks.

Re: Okuma Big Bait Rod 7'6" Med Hvy - Opinions
Hi Lucas; I have that rod, it is perfect for all the baits that you mention except for the Huddle Shads, these are way too light for this stick. I'm currently using mine for Mattlures, Shellcrackers, Mission Fish to 7", Rago Rats, Triple Trouts to 7" and 3:16 Wake Jrs. and it's perfect. I would summ...

Re: Info. on Shimano Fireblood?
Hey Guys these rods look really nice, but aren't the actions more in line for Squid Fishing (Egging). I was thinking of getting one for my Sephia as they would match perfectly but i'm unertain on what these are designed for. In any case they lookd really nice and the hard case is something that i ha...

Re: ZPI/Bassart for Mg7...??
I posted this :?: in the Shimano forum, but didn't get any response, so hopefully I'll have better luck here. I'm planning on buying a complete ZPI handle for my Mg7 from Brooklyn Bill, but what else will I need to install the handle besides the handle itself?? washers, etc?? I've never done this b...

Re: Loomis BCR802 equivalent
Hi Dennis; I asked the same quesiton awhile back. Nothing in the MB lineup currently compares to the BCR802, the closes matches are: Bearing Down (More powerfull than the BCR802) and 2" shorter. Hedgehog (Probably the closest match except it is only 6ft 3in) Hien (Old Model) (Close match also except...

Re: looking a buying TD ito
Looks like the Deep ZPI MG spool that may or may not come with SIC bearings. 8-) 100% Correct and the color is called "Winners Black". It also behaves differently than the stick TD-Ito spool with the stock spool being better for the lighter stuff and this one being better for the heavy stuff IMO. S...

Re: Gan Craft White Noise UPDATED W/ PICS
Congrats! on the new addition Nautilus. I actually passed on the White Noise because it is just too heavy for my style of fishing. Amazing looking rod though to say the least. I love my Dictator, it's one super balanced and super nice looking rod. I popped it's cherry a few weeks ago throwing a Hudd...

Re: Core Info.
Hi Guys; I'll throw in my .02 cents. Warranty on a freshwater reel is not a big deal to me, maybe it's because in the 30 plus years of fishing i have never had a reel break, malfunction or whatever. Servicing a reel is so easy that i don't even send them to either Daiwa or Shimano. If a part needs r...

Re: Core Info.
We did not use the bearing handle due to the anglers in the southwest (Texas wade fisherman). The cost is higher due to the materials used (Mg and surface treatment procees) and the Magnumlite spool, HEG gearing etc; The MG is "cheaper" due to the current exchange rate and the dealers in Japan sell...

Core Info.
Hi Guys, I searched the archives but couldn't find any comments on what i feel is are obvious questions on this new reel. 1- $349.00 for a 5 bearing reel? why the hell did Shimano go with a non-bearing supported handle? If that's the case then shouldn't the price be lower than the JDM version? 2- Wh...
