Aquaholic I think they just look like that in the picture , I do underspool 2 of my reels ( crankbaits and spinnerbaits) to give me a slightly lower retrieval speed . It definately doesnt help with the casting ,if anything the spool spins faster due to having to rotate faster on start up of the cast...

Basspro the rods are from the east , I think that they are brought into South Africa specifically for our market , they are pretty inexpensive ,probably about $70 in your currency . they are im8 graphite ,portuegese grade cork ,with Fuji reel seats and guides . I have 3 calais 100A and trust me they are worth every cent more than the chronarch . they are just ultra,ultra smooth .

Thanks for the comments. What was intersting John was that when I tested it , the number 2 piston heat seized . anyway the owner is having the motor totally rebuilt ie. new pistons , rings , and bearings as well as a new impeller prior to me taking delivery. I just hope that we can get to the bottom...

Just bought a used fishing boat. Its a Glastron Extaski 16"8' with a Force 90hp and an Evinrude 54Llb trolling motor , its actually a ski boat but the previous owner has put a casting deck on the front .
