Spinning rod for skipping tubes under docks

Hey, looking for a spinning rod to skip tubes under docks. Want it to be powerful enough to pull fish out of the docks and also as sensitive as possible. I have a mh 7' cumara"red" a couple of Nrx852s, and steez 701mlfsa as well as some other ml rods. The cumara isn't all that bad but all the others...

Re: G Loomis 803c GLX vs NRX

If you don't like recoils then you probably are not going to be into the bcr glx rods mentioned, since they have them as well. I like the bcr glx rods and sorta feel like the nrx line could have been the new glx line taking over for the bcr . The new glx I just don't like. To me a step backwards. Ma...

Re: Itching for another high end spinning reel

Also what jdm certate 2500 series has the 6.1 gear ratio like the usdm ha. The 2510PE-H is 6.0:1 and holds 160 yds of 8lb (0.23mm) I have 5 certates (two mag seal models) & have never serviced one yet in 5 or six years. They simply have not required any service based on feel. The mag seal concept i...

Re: New Fuego Baitcaster

For what they can be had for on the auction site I may pick one up as it fits a niche I've been searching for. For $100 it may be the first reel I really get my hands dirty with as far as taking it apart and tinkering around with as I won't be too upset if I ruin it. And with no first hand experien...

Re: Best Casting Reel for Lite Crankbaits?

The right rod is so important. I have always used the alphas reels for this. The purple 103, alphas f, and ito. Never a single problem. I recently started using a px- spr, which they made for this app. One thing I noticed about the px is the harder you chuck it the worse the results. Nice fluid cast...

Definitely bottom contact. If the only difference between the 2 is gear ratio, I would choose the sh. Thank you.....

Ballistic EX or SH

I have always used stradics, but after getting an older model fuego, I have been curious about the Ballistic reels. I've decided to give one of these a try and newer isn't always better so...

Re: NRX 853c question

I really enjoy this rod for 3/8, but as far as the upper"limit", I have tied on up to a 3/4 ounce jig for vertical jigging for walleye in 35' of water on a few occasions when we unexpectedly stop to try and catch some dinner at the end of a day of bass fishing, not having my walleye gear. Big curren...

Re: NRX- Steez question

The 822 DSR is considerably softer than the 852s JWR. The 822 SYR is in between. If the SYR is a true medium, the 852 is a medium+ and the DSR fishes like a medium light...If you know that Cumulus line, the DSR probably fishes more like the 6'10'ML...For me, and I have all 3, the 822 DSR is basical...
