Re: what's everyone's most productive lure?
My best lure for almost all freshwater species and numbers is a hand poured minnow/grub I rig on a 1/16-1/8 oz leadhead jig. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j36/senkosam/Fishing/Spoon%20Minnow%20tail%20and%20dipped%20creations/jighooksizes_zps3432058f.jpg~original I stay with 4 or 6# test line and...

Re: Zoom Worms
The Trick Worm has produced for me when rigged Texas/ no weight and scooted across pads openings. I've also attached and in-line blade (with and without weight) with great success. Flor. pink has been the outstanding color for this technique. Watermelon and red flake is also a great color.

Re: Hi I'm New - A few thoughts on lures in general !!!
There will always be classic lures, just like classic cars, but there will always be new-and-improved or new-and-the-same every year a new catolog comes out. Roland Martin's baits were copied by quite a few companies (except the Vibrax spinner) and sources for similar tackle are many. Riverside once...

lure modifications or making that which was useless, useful
I believe that fish sense when something has been thrown at them a million times. Modifying a lure may make the fish want to hit just out of curiousity because something different and unique just entered it's strike zone. Maybe the above is just imagination gone into overdrive, like believing fish c...

Re: SPIKE-IT GARLIC DIP-N-GLO
I've been using Sike-It for 10 years and have noticed that as it evaporates, it gets more concentrated. If you dip a plastic that was already dipped in another color, the color will tinge the second bottle. For example, if you put an already orante-dyed tail into chart., the chart. will look like co...

Re: Stickbait Poll --> Suspending - Floating - Sinking
Soft sticks are Senko-type worms which are much different than older style jerkworms (Slugo, Trickworm, floating jerkworms etc.)

Re: BASS announces new no-information policy
Prefishing for local clubs may have advantages and allow prefishers an edge over the competition, but in my experience it depends on the water and the experience everyong in the tournament has had fishing it. Even Roland Martin was blown away on the Hudson R., N.Y., by staying with a prefish pattern...

Re: Plastic worms
Soft plastics are the only thing I use 85% of the time. As far as 9-10 worms, it depends on the style and time of year. I don't know about anywone else, but I downsize after spring and stau with 4.5"-7" worms through fall. Bass Assassin 11" worms can catch 7" bass when worked across the tops of emer...

Re: banjo minnow..... bust or great lure?
The kit is not worth the money - cheap hooks and springs that are too large for the smallest 'minnow'. Tom Mann's Shadow worked just as well at less cost.

Re: Inline spinners
Blue Fox Minnow spins work well for many species - bass, pickerel and panfish. All in all, I've found the in-line spinner to be a great lure, even better than the overhead spinner (spinnerbait). I make my own using various blades and treble dressings and sometimes use and in-line as a lead attractor...
