Re: NRX 822DSR

I'd say the NRX 822 DSR would handle lighter weights before heavier weights. I rarely go lower than 1/4oz plus the actual bait on the great Lakes, and switch to the 872 jwr when fishing heavier weights in deeper water. Are you using straight fluoro? I imagine 6 lb for the weights you mentioned. Hope...

GLX for Spooks?

Just curious if anyone is using any G Loomis GLX models for regular sized Spooks/similar sized walking baits.

Thanks

Frog Rod Suggestion

Looking to pick up frog rod for this coming season - I'm a Loomis/Shimano fan so was looking for suggestions between those two. If there are any sticks that are great frog rods + a few other applications, feel free to suggest those as well. As of right now I was considering the Loomis TWFR 935 but w...

Re: spinnerbait/swimbait rod

Loomis SBR864 could work for you... It's awesome for 1/2oz-1oz blades and I've tossed dippers on it.

Re: G Loomis GLX - Jig/Worm + Frogs?

I think Lintner was using a GLX 893 FPR but the clip I saw he mentioned he forgot his true frog rod at home. Thanks for the input - as for the 844, I was looking at the newest generation GLX

G Loomis GLX - Jig/Worm + Frogs?

I was looking at getting a Loomis Frog rod (TWFR935C) but was wondering if anyone has used any of the GLX line for typical jig/worm techniques along with frogs. I don't throw frogs a ton, so if I can find a rod that would be suitable for more than just frogs that would be great. If anyone has used e...

NRX 842/872S vs. 852S

Has anyone used either the G. Loomis NRX 842S or 872S models? If so, for what technique? How do the actions differ other than length and is there a single model that seems more powerful?

I have an 852S and was just wondering how the other two models compared to it.

Thanks

Re: Most sensitive rod for wacky Senkos?

I throw my wacky senkos on a NRX 852S. I am typically throwing them in open water for smallies so there isn't a ton of cover around. I throw them with 10-15lb Power Pro Super slick 8 and a fluoro lead.

I have heard great things about a Core 50/NRX 852C combo...

Re: Lets see your full collection's

Here is what I have...still tuning things a bit over the winter. I just sold a Loomis DSR822s and trying to sell a cbr783 so have a Stadic FH and a Calais MG-5 without rods not pictured. I also have replaced my crucal with a SBR813 too since the pic http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/BASSPRO12345/...

Bass Opener Weekend - Setups Ready

After a long winter and fishing on the New York Side of Lake Erie and Lake Lewisville, Texas - I can finally fish for bass on my home waters. Bass season opens tomorrow and I am more than excited. Over the course of the winter I've dropped/added some rods and reels and I am left with this. Should be...

Loomis JBR813C

I was looking for any info on the G Loomis JBR813C - the 6'9MH Jerkbait series rod.

I was just wondering if anyone has used the rod and what baits they used it for. I was hoping to use it mostly for MB Vision 110's and Pointer 100's.

Thanks

Flick Shake Technique

Has anyone used this yet? I have seen a couple articles and videos and I am really interested. Has anyone used the jackall flick shake worms also?
