Compre or Ballistic
Which one for an all around cranking rod. For the price both look to be a great deal. Anyone have both. Or for that price point should I be looking at another rod as well?

Re: Kistler and Daiwa rod warranty comparison.
I agree with the bigger company being able to eat some of the costs and send an entirely new rod no questions asked. I am still happy with Kistler's service. Their warranty is clearly stated on their website and easy to file a claim. Not as good as Daiwa, getting a free rod, but I'm happy with the w...

Kistler and Daiwa rod warranty comparison.
I recently sent in a 6'9" kistler magnesium spinnerbait rod with a warranty claim filled out from their website and original receipt. The rod was broke fighting a fish. I was contacted they would replace it for 70$ and I would pay one way shipping. Not a bad deal I guess, and they were very fast get...

The same thing happend to my 6'6" MH LT. I plan on sending it in just to see what happens. I dont have the reciept either and am not sure if this is my older or newer LT. My friend has sent some tackle back to daiwa with pretty good success. So i will see what i can get.

Re: Cotton Candy
Cotton candy is also a great color for sight fishing or spawn time fishing. During the spawn it does not matter what color to the fish but the cotton candy color makes it very easy to see the bait when the fish pickes it up.

Re: why are alot of people using flurocarbon now?
I have found florocarbon to be the best in large rock fields. I have had my braid cut many times when deep water jigging. Florocarbon has seemed to be the best for this situation. My buddy used florocarbon as the leader of his carolina rig and has by far the least amount of snaps on the rocks with t...

Re: baitcasting
I'd reccomend purchasing a reel with centrifugal and magnetic brakes to start out with. You can turn both brakes up really high and slowly back off as you get the hang of it. There are several high quality reels under $200 that have both. (abu revo stx, pflueger supreme, johnny morris bps) Ill seco...

Re: Wave Tiki Stick vs. Yamamoto Senko
For me I think the answer is neither. I started out with the senkos, then threw tiki's for a little while, but one I tried Yum Dingers I was sold... But only for a while. I felt the Yum Dingers lasted the longer than both the Senkos and Tiki's, and the Yum sent preformed better. I still love Yum bai...

Re: NEW Daiwa Alphas
Man this TD-A frame is going the distance. HST, HSTA, BWII, Tierra, Prodigy, and Alphas 150. Did I miss any other variants? I'm not too sure about adding an Alphas to the mix but I do like how it looks. Any info on that new spool porting as to whether it will provide faster startup than the current...
