Re: Handle knob problems
There were little tiny shims underneath the knobs when I pulled them off the factory handle. I put them back on the new.handle.

Handle knob problems
I have a Daiwa Japan SS SV103 baitcaster. I've had it for a couple years now and done a lot of cranking with it. Only problem I ever had with it was the short handle. So I finally ordered a longer carbon fiber handle from the spool high speed bearings website since I was already ordering new spool b...

Re: Curado I question
Ok. That's easy enough. Why is that the only reel out of all of them I bought that is having that problem? Possibly because it's sat longer and the oil has dried up?

Re: Curado I question
Ok thanks. And sorry I didn't even look at the instructions. I've owned many of baitcasters and always just take them out of the box and they are ready to go and don't mess with any maintenance for a month or two.

Curado I question
I just recently bought some Shimano reels and this past weekend (5/14 and 5/15) was the first time to use them. I bought 1 curado 70xg, 1 citica 200hg, 1 casitas 150hg, and 2 curado 200hg reels. I love them all so far but I'm having troubles with one of the curado 200hg reels. When I make a cast or ...

Chatter baits
Has anyone tried out the new picasso shock blade? I've always just used the original chatter bait and love them but I've recently bought the new project z chatter bait and it works very well too. I was just wondering about the picasso shock blade and how well it works?

Re: Lews bearings question
I was actually at the Indianapolis boat, sport, and travel show today and met flw pro Bill McDonald and he uses the Lucas oil reel oil and says it works really well. I think I will try it! I do realize it's one of his sponsors but I've used many Lucas oil products and haven't been disappointed yet.

Re: Lews bearings question
Thanks a lot! I used to do a lot of reel cleaning but I got lazy and busy with work and started having someone else do it. Now I'm back to doing my own, but I've always been afraid to pop that little pin out that holds the bearing on the spool so I just squirt lighter fluid on it several times, spin...

Re: Lews bearings question
What about the 3rd bearing connected to the spool shaft with a little pin that holds it in place? Also what do you all suggest as the best oil and grease? I just used the Lew's speed lube oil and hot sauce grease for the gears bc that's all I had on hand.

Lews bearings question
I am now using all lews baitcaster and was wanting some tips and personal preferences on lubing bearings. I know to oil the spool bearings inside of each side plate but I was wondering about the bearing connected to the spool shaft right next to the spool. Do you oil or grease that? I have been putt...

Re: Enigma Rods
I absolutely love them. I have a 7'3" mh, 7'3" h, 7'8" h, 7'2" m cranking, and a 6'11" ml spinning. I've had all of them since Sept '15 and all of them have performed flawlessly. I like the feel of them. They just seem to have a real smooth crisp feeling when casting and setting the hook on fish. Ma...

Sunline sniper
I just noticed the other day they are making sniper in 18 lb line. Maybe it's been out for a while and I didn't notice it. I saw it on Tackle Warehouse. I've always used 16 and 20 lb. Has anyone used the 18 lb and have any input on it?

Re: Sunline Flipping FC?
I used the 20 once for a good little while. It seemed similar to the 22 lb shooter I use a lot. I didn't seem to get as many bites though. I told myself it was the yellow in the line but maybe that was just in my head and it wasn't a good bite on the days I used it. I wish someone else would comment...

Opinions on heavy cover jig?
I want some opinions on a good jig to fish offshore submerged heavy cover. My favorite lake has a lot of off shore ledges with lots of stumps, roots, and trees on the bottom. I usually fish a 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz football jig depending on the wind. They get hung up a lot in the wood and it really messes...
