There is some rubbing as you close it, could very well be the bail arm then.

Boys, starting to have an issue with the bail starting to lose some of it's return. When I turn the bail by hand to close it, it doesn't return with any zip, is it a spring issue ? What do you recommend.

Hi guys, I have a quantum spinning reel, that when I bring in the fish, the gears grind and make it difficult to reel in. It only does that when I have a fish on, works great when there is no weight at the end. Anyone ever have that problem ? What causes this ?
