Re: OG tatula vs New tatula rod

Yes, but I use it more for senkos, finesse jigs, and light texas rigs. It's great for dead sticking 5.8 and 6.8 flick shakes. Daiwa needs to bring this rod or an equivalent ... ie Steez Harrier-Finesse to pair with the new Steez ct sv Where will you buy? They just introduced the Harrier-Finesse int...

Re: OG tatula vs New tatula rod

That's good to hear. They really are great rods for the money and I'm glad they actually managed to improve upon them without jacking up the price. Here are the weights of the 1st gen models I have or have had in the past: Tatula 6101MXB: 3.8 Tatula 6101MHFB: 3.7 Tatula 711MHXB: 3.8 Tatula 711MHRB:...

Re: 2019 Steez CT SV and 2019 Alpha CT SV

Is this new Alpha ct sv a finesse reel ? Most certainly and pairs up well with my Daiwa Black Label PF 701MFB Medium 7' (1/8-5/8) with 8-10 lb test it heaves wacky and 1/16 oz headed-2.5” Ned rig effortlessly and about 15 yds further then my 105sv on same rod. I think the narrower lighter spool hel...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

My LH 8 arrived this afternoon so I strapped it on a Megabass X7 Super Eiger and spooled up with some lighter line and fished it with a 1/16 oz. jighead and a panfish plastic. I caught a bunch of decent gills and enjoyed the palming profile of the reel immensely. I think without any special tuning,...

Re: Daiwa Zillion 50th Anniversary Cabela’s Edition

This is the Daiwa version.
The green one was a special run for Cabelas at the same time.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

TW says that the reel can hold 100 yards of 10 pound line. Does that seem to be accurate? I am wondering if this is the reel to put on my NRX 852c. Currently running the Abu MGExtreme 2 on it. Wondering if the Steez would be the better option for 1/8 - 1/4oz lures. The Abu's spool holds just soo mu...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I just purchased a SV Light Ltd. 8.1 and it will be here in a week. Now I regret it and should have gotten this CT Steez instead. So I may be selling the SV Ltd 8.1 RH at a very good price. Like $387 shipped TYD I have both and in my limited testing CT SV is bit more capable with lower weights but ...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

This must be an ideal candidate to tune for lures 1/16 and less. Any Air style or even lower weight tuning spools available yet? Nothing at 30mm yet. There may be hope in the future, as there have been aftermarket spools introduced for 32mm spools (SS AIR, T3 AIR, SV Light) Interested in these othe...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

What’s really sad is to watch all the comments about buying from Japan for better pricing while the gents from local shops like tackle trap who advertise and are able to answer questions on TT and have see the better pricing overseas and then see they are $50 to $100 more. And can’t complete.

Re: SV Light Limited

Quick question. Can anyone verify what spool diameter is on this reel. And if there is any other SV spools that will fit that are a tad more capacity. Not a lot deeper .but maybe like Alphas SV capacity or 105sv capacity.. Still trying to decide b/w this and the CT Steez SV. Even the CT Steez SV cap...
