Re: Where are the shimanos?
Rod blank is a Juicy Beaver MK2. I believe designed after Gloomis GLX F904 4wt fly rod. Rod is used for 1/32-1/16 mini jigs for trout. So far best rod I have used for that technique. The grips I designed and call them Stealth Grips. Tennessee Style split grips made of carbon fiber, ultra light, adde...

You’re work is flat out amazing! Beautiful reel and combo! Joe Thanks Joe! Truly appreciate the kind words. Rod blank is a phenix Elixr 661 that I spliced in a solid tip from Justace Custom. https://i.postimg.cc/MGkfhTWk/CFD66-BF2-9-ECF-4-FCF-8-B8-A-5-EF39-F0-E3-EC1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/GpkTrC2...

For an asian guy you must try the Ferg xl from Costa. Ive tried alot of there frames and this is a must for us asians. Dont forget to try there global series too if you hadn't heard about them. Old but fits nice as well. I think the permit global and the fisch global are the larger frames. Asian w/...

Re: Cerakote Reels
That doesn’t surprise me in the least. Just a basic AR upper/lower/handguard is $150 locally by a reputable shop. Those are very NOT intricate compared to reels. I’ll ask the next time I’m in there, what their thoughts on a reel are. Its tough to take on work that requires so much attention to deta...

Re: Cerakote Reels
Cerakote is a great finish. I personally like using it on the reel frame. Its corrosion resistance, durability at how thin it is cant be beat. For the sideplates and gear cover I use automotive primer, base and 2k clear. Any reasons why you're not using cerakote with the pigments? I use pigments in...

Re: Cerakote Reels
I’m a Certified Cerakote applicator and have my own business coating full time. You probably seen my work around. I tested the waters for reel coating and decided it’s not something I want to offer to the public. For the amount of time I put in per reel I would need to charge more than I would even ...

Re: Daiwa Alphas Air TW 2020
Talking about Drag Clicker, i just placed 2 orders for the new kit 😁 [/quote] Thank you for the support John! I was able to gather what I've learned from the first run of clickers and get manufacturing costs down. New V2 kits are about 35% less than the first run without sacrificing on quality or pe...

Re: Daiwa Alphas Air TW 2020
Daiwa 20 Alphas Air TW drag clicker update: I’ve been working on a plastic injection mold with my machinist for a while now. The mold got done sooner then expected and works near perfect. THIS IS NOT a version 2 to my drag clicker but it is a tuning option that each and every purchaser of my clicker...
