Re: Can you remove the alpha CT70 Spool spacers?

Are the spacers glued in or do they just get pressed in?

Re: Steez CT SV 70 vs Alphas CT SV 70

Throw a CT spool in a Pixy https://i.imgur.com/PgiTCbA.jpg That looks amazing. I actually almost bought a alphas CT sv the other day that had the side plates from a yellow pixy. Looked great as well. Id much rather have plain aluminum spacers like that or black spacers than the orange ones the CT c...

Re: Kistlers warranty and the curse of 2020

Ouch, looks like the 2020 curse is worse for y'all, I want a zbone but I cannot even remotely justify it, I think I'm going to get 2 of the x-ray blanks next time they're on sale and have a local guy build the rods for a lot less. Weird your coupon was for 50%off, mine was a dollar amount that I co...

Re: Steez CT SV 70 vs Alphas CT SV 70

I own both, steez is super smooth. Casting performance is pretty close. Is the Steez $200 better? Not really in my opinion if you’re just looking for performance... With that being said, my Steez isn’t going anywhere and I’ve even considered buying another one. Not everyone has the same budget or m...

Re: Steez CT SV 70 vs Alphas CT SV 70

The Steez CT is hands down the smoothest reel I've ever fished. With that being said, the Alphas CT is immensely enjoyable to fish. In my hands, its among the top 5 smoothest reels I've owned/fished. So do you own both? Or did you pick one over the other? Would you say the steez was worth twice the...

Re: Steez CT SV 70 vs Alphas CT SV 70

I will say, typically I prefer non twing reels like the alphas and I typically choose aluminum framed reels with brass gears (although I likey other steez, TD Ito , and TD Fuego as well). I just keep reading about how smooth the steez CT sv is.

Steez CT SV 70 vs Alphas CT SV 70

I've owned the Alphas CT before but sold it to my brother without fishing it. It was probably the smoothest alphas I've had although I didn't reel it under load. I just ordered a Steez CT SV 70 after researching for a few days but now I'm wondering if I should have just bought another alphas CT and ...

Re: PX68

I had a px68L that I regret selling. I had it tuned and it was great but the problem was I only looked at it as a finesse/bfs reel only and didn't even consider using it for anything else. I've been looking for a clean left hand pixy for a decent price ever since.

Ktf Neo spool

Just looking for info on the ktf Neo spools. I'm specifically looking at the 33mm version for the alphas. According to Japan tackle it can cast down to 1/8oz and has a fixed rotor? What would the upper weight rating? Anyone have experience with both the ktf Neo and sv105 spool in the alphas? Thanks

Re: Aldebaran mg7

Is there room for a second in the line guide cap. Had many reels that took 2. But re-reading that "similar"... Has someone managed to pop one under the handle shaft as like in Daiwa reels to stop that handle shaft play? To clean up that magnesium corrosion you got to pick at it, use a nylon brush s...

Aldebaran mg7

Well, what I thought was a excellent condition aldebaran 51 mg7 showed up today with some bubbling and possibly corrosion under the frame where people sometimes put their hooks (looks like that's what damaged the paint). Anyway to make it worse I decided to clean it but ended up with an extra washer...
