Re: How many rods/reels do you actually use

Well I've only gotten worse since starting this post. I'm up to 14 casting rods and 14 baitcast reels plus a spinning setup. Im gonna have to narrow them down sometime soon. I keep saying that but it doesn't happen. The most I've taken out and used on a trip is 4. I don't think I'd ever take more un...

Re: Cosugi Works Spool bearing

It came with a 3x8x4 bearing for the sideplate as well. Great bearings. You don't need to use the same brand of bearings for spool and sideplate, so you can buy any quality ceramic hybrids for the sideplate, no need to purchase a pair if you have one on the spool already. Yeah it came with one on t...

Cosugi Works Spool bearing

I just picked up a cosugi works spool and it didn't come with the palm plate bearing. Does anyone know what bearings came with those spools? Or did that company make their own? If not I'll just buy a new set of bearings I guess.

Thanks

Re: St Croix Mojo Inshore for BFS fishing

Thanks to everyone for your replies, I guess only time will tell when I get these rods how they will perform for me. No matter what I fish all water and all fish so I figure out some place for these rods How did the 7' Light do? What was the lightest you were able to cast? Thanks The rod action was...

Re: Bfs rod questions

Well got the Finetail FAX-B642UL today. Haven't used it yet but it looks very nice. Definitely a noodle compared to the msx bfs ul rod. Seems like it's going to be a fun trout rod.

Major craft definitely makes a good looking rod.

Re: Auction site gems

I wish I could insert the Grinch gif of him saying, "Eeeerrrr, yup." I couldn't believe it when I saw it, plus I also found another reel that has a bunch parts that I've been looking for. So now I have 3 coming my way, but two are getting sent back out once I do a little parts swapping. Lucky devil...

Re: Bfs rod questions

I know that BFS started off for bass fishing but has since been spun off for trout fishing. Now you can find Bass BFS rods and Trout BFS rods. The same came be said for the spools from my understanding. Instead of looking for a BFS rod try searching for the size and weight of the lure you are tryin...

Re: ML Fast/Xfast recommendations

Finally got to use it yesterday. Definitely what I was looking for as far as the power/action go. I don't have enough experience with high end rods to give a sensitivity comparison but I was very happy with the fantasista regista ML and it definitely wasn't heavier than rated like some of the other ...

OG Steez 103hl/NRC001-M/MS-X 65ML how's the braking force with that spool inside the og steez? is the control reasonably good with fluoro or is it wild as hell like the R and R+ spools when used in the older steez? Curious as well. Might be kicking myself for letting the of steez go if the Zpi spoo...

Re: Show us your Sol

Personally, I would swap in a gunmetal retainer screw and look for a purple drag star (if they make them). Then it would be perfect I think. Looks great as it is now though for sure. Stars I could find: https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32750424700.html https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/phone/product/1...

Re: Bfs rod questions

I've never seen a trout casting rod with BFS labeling on it. BFS is usually reserved for bass gear. Kuying Teton SUL, UL (and L) are trout, or rainbow trout, stream fishing BFS rods. Those really are not intended for perch, walley (zander?) or pike. And because of that I can say that those are not ...
