I keep it simple with a rage craw on a finesse jig or by itself yeah pretty played out but it works.

The green owners are good I use the 2/0, gamakatsu octopus circle hook can be utilized in grassy snaggy areas and seem to provide some level of weedlessnes 2/0 is good.

I wont spend more than 200 on a rod its my rule I don't feel a need to ever go higher for my style of fishing.
