I found a brand new TD-Z on ebay for 350. Would you spend this much on an older model reel or buy a Steez A for the same price?

Does anyone know who does reel painting? I have a cc zillion and tdz I'd like painted stock color.

At $75 it's an excellent purchase. My brother still has one that he bought way back and it's an excellent caster and very smooth. It casted better than an OG Zillion.

I have used different diameter short shafts spools in my reels. Never had any issue. It's the bearings which supports spool (and tips of shaft). That shaft end just goes inside to pinion gear.

I have a TDZ 103ML. I want to put my newer SV103 spool in the 103ML, but the spool shaft is larger on the 103ML than the SV103 spool, where it goes into the pinion gear. Will this cause a problem? Like any slop or moving around? I know the pin is supported in the gear. The TDZ 103ML spool is on the ...

All newer shimano and daiwa reels use carbontex washers already...

Question about polishing gears. I've read/heard from someone that polishing gears from a Steez will cause the "smoothness" to go away. Has anyone experienced this?

My bad, I guess I misunderstood.

I hate the stock screws that come on fishing reels, especially the slotted screw heads. I found these on amazon, they are stainless button heads that fit most reels. I've replaced all my frame screws with these. They take a 1.5mm allen wrench. They will save you from getting scratches on your reels....
