Re: Daiwa Tatula MQ LT.
Or maybe, just a maybe, they sell the ones that not quite pass QC or B grade from brand name manufacturers. I would think twice before spending money on higher end reel or 200 and up from this market. I’d rather spend 20-30 bucks more from Japan vendor just for a piece of mind.

Re: Daiwa Tatula MQ LT.
Add import tax plus warranty and insane return policy where some can buy then use it for a month and return which happen quite often in US.
Tatula MQ bail is one piece and not as thin as Shimano that bent easily. Old Tatula LT is also multi pieces.

Re: Daiwa Tatula MQ LT.
Have anyone service these reels yet? I told myself I don’t need anymore spinning reels since I don’t use these often enough and still own 4 of the Daiwas. I don’t find the need of MQ body and MagSeal for my regular bass and crappie fishing and those add more complications when servicing the reel. I...
Re: New pixy
I was hoping to see something new. Maybe an entirely new frame with no T-wing. Thing is though, T-wing is kind of Daiwa's feature now, and I am not sure frames will get much smaller than the new Alphas style reels. This is one of the reasons I think we see such small changes with new generations, s...

Re: Shimano BFS Magnets
Let me try, might be wrong though. To me heavier lures need less brake but light lure or non aerodynamic lure need more brake. Spool spin faster than the line being pull off for lighter lure thus more brake to control spool needed to not get over run off line vs spool speed.

Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner
Maybe just a normal feeling of dry bearing as long as it doesn’t make sound and smooth spin after add oil, I wouldn’t worry about it. I soak my in acetone/nail cleaner in a jar on top of aquarium air pump, then wash off with isopropyl alcohol and let air dry overnight.

Re: Red Zillion SV TW 1000.
Really hard to tell from the picture if mismatched hood on this one. I wonder where can we just get just the parts. Last time I have a friend contact Daiwa Malaysia with no success. May be red hood would look better on HD instead of flat black? This 'red' zillion is actually burgundy. Not sure that...

Re: Budget Spinning Reels... Legalis best bang for buck?
I used to have old Legalis LT, pretty smooth and good for budget type fishing. Got the new 2023 2000S-P for lower speed retrieve and even like it a lot, smooth and feel solid can compare with other 100 reels out there. I normally use ballistic FW, Kage LT and Vanford and don’t mind at all to include...

Re: Are you using any Chinese manufactured reels?
If I can afford I would buy trusted brand name Shimano/daiwa. If I cannot Walmart reel Abu, or alike would do me better than getting something I don’t know and no warranty whatsoever. You get what you paid still count. I’d rather buy used reel in flemarket. I have some low price reel as disposable w...

Red Zillion SV TW 1000.
This Chinese market getting better colored reel than us US market. Another salamandura red, this time with Zillion platform but xtra with carbon handle and skeleton knob. Still price is over $300 though. If the price come down to around JDM zillion < 250 I might got one to match my silver zillion an...

Re: New pixy
How about another Tatula. The new BF 70 is coming. That makes 12 Tatulas listed on Daiwa's web sight. This is based on the Alphas Air TW, not the tatula 70/80 frame. The new Tatula BF 70 is already available on Tackle Warehouse. It has a BFS spool. Gotcha. The overseas market already has the Salama...

Re: New pixy
Why 70? Let get it straight Daiwa, don’t get me wrong I like Daiwa, sold most Shimanos. Stop trying to be Shimano for just one second, please. They have had the 70 for 3 years now. The tatula 80 is standard. The tatula 70 is the sv version of the 80. Speaking of, I figure they may release the alpha...
