Re: If You Could Have ONLY One Lure for the Rest of Your Life

It should be good to cast and it should attract trout, perch and pike. I would say Myran Wipp 15 g.

Lol...damn, well overdue, but yeppers that's funny!
Nice that you found it funny! I thought maybe there's some language issue and I didn't put my words correctly. I'm not very good in english :)

Re: Is There A Way to Make A Standard Baitcast Spool To A Shallow Spool?

Well done kaiser! Nice to hear such awesome results! Yes, in finesse fishing small diameter of line stack is advantage in casting because effective diameter has such big effect to starting inertia. Naturally disadvantage is lower retrieve speed, but casting performance is usually more important.

Aluminium line guide obviously weights less than half of standard line guide, so effect of it can be significant.

Is one or both those designs patented? But to me those are different enough designs.

Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike

Some says that in St.Croix Legend Tournament Musky it's not pistol grip:

But it's bazooka grip?

Re: Minimum parts needed to tune an Abu 1500c to be BFS?

Talked with my friend of different reel, so I'm just writing some thoughts outside box...As we know 4500 C is really narrow reel and in strong cast synchronized level wind travels back and forth like crazy. So hi said hi did a 'performance tune' for that reel by removing casting brake / centrifugal ...

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?

Perfecto, thanks for sharing. Also, have you changed the factory bearing out, or is it acceptable with the stock bearing? Both are stock. Performance has been good straight out box. Both spools casts longer than ct alphas std. spool, so I have not thought to do anything. SV styles inductor didn't m...

Re: Finesse/BFS reel for distance casting?

Does anyone have any input on the SV versus fixed inductor Rays deep BFS spool in the Gekkabijin? I have both and both are very good! I spooled same line for both but for fixed style there was ~1 mm less line in the spool. And fixed spool is some amount of lighter than sv style. But at least with ~...

Re: How does a worn gears feel when winding?

New gears and machinery bearings seems something 21010 yen. Beginning to be a bit pricey, but maybe I should purhcase those anyway. This reel is fun, but cranking inline spinners with it is not fun. Or maybe I still try aerodynamic (and hydrodynamic) spoons with it. Seems way high. I have an extra ...

Re: How does a worn gears feel when winding?

It feels smooth to crank, actually really smooth. Without resistance cranking is light. But reeling power is much less and much more power needed to be crank than with Z2020 SH or Tatula 200 SH. I think it's goodly lubed and that lubing again don't make big difference and I guess that bearings are a...

How does a worn gears feel when winding?

I bought a used reel, Daiwa 16 Zillion TW HLC 1514 SHL, which condition is good, but under load there is more force needed to crank than with my other reels. Is this a clear sign of worn gears? I think it's aluminum gears in this reel? (Also clutch movement is not as smooth as in a new reels, but th...

Re: Steez A TW HLC mod

Sounds good! And also sounds that Steez A HLC spool behaves very similar to OG HLC Zillion spool. Actually there should be more spools to fit to these reels:
36 mm Narrow: The TD Zilllion, TD Fuego, TDZ, Steez A HLC, Daiwa BBS http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php ... 4&start=15

Re: Tsurinoya Dexterity Ⅱ C722UL

Kuying SAC862MH is a good caster, not excellent, but good. For a perch, this SAC862 is a rod for big perch. For standard size perch shorter one, with soft solid tip, is much better. I'm replying to my old post, but both 762 and 862 really good perch rods . I got perch of 570 g with 762. 862 Would h...
