Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Gary, So the new 2020 SD vs. PREVIOUS MODEL SD From what I’m understanding based off what you said The PMSD has a faster action than this current 2020 SD ? Can you also please describe the the deeper flexing? Are you staying it’s more of a versatile action rather than a focused technique rod? Thank...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

As for the Dark Sleeper, I was under the impression it would be more for bottom contact. Considering the name and the color chart they released. Perhaps, but the color looks olive to me, which would suggest a greenish/brown on their chart, which would align w/single hook techniques and bottom conta...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Anybody else get their order in? Me! \:D/ Dark Sleeper and a Super Destroyer--I think that the length will be great for fishing out of the kayak as some of the longer jig/worm/frog rods with backbone are usually much longer. Looking at a few other models as well... :D Interested in what you’l...

Re: Shipping times nowadays

I ordered some stuff from Japan that came faster than something I ordered an hour away from me.

I think Canada Post is using donkeys now.

Re: Plastic broken piece inside SV Spool

*UPDATE* First off I would like to thank @Adam Lancia for the conductor piece he sent me while waiting for the delayed (due to covid) order from tackle trap. As for the process... I tried dissembling the spool in a bag but it was so hard to see so I just held the spool the way the guy did it in the ...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

The spacers are there to eliminate in and out play of the knob on the shaft. Too many spacers and the knob will not spin freely. It has to be just right. Ah I see. I always copy what I take off so if there’s one on the top and then one on the bottom, I do the same but can never get it to spin norma...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

Ok guys, so I ended up just cutting the knob (couldn’t find a punch) which was easy with a carpenters knife, the somewhat difficult part was removing the plastic that’s left on from the inside of the knob that’s wrapped around the bar. Took a little extra time but I managed to cut enough to fit my p...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

Before you cut the knobs off, try what Slazmo is suggesting first. The idea behind the centre punch is that it will expand that end of the knob shaft enough to stick in the handle so you can remove the screw. If that doesn't work, I would cut a shallow slot in the end of the knob post and use a fla...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

Here’s some pics You can see how thin the back part is which makes it almost impossible to grab with pressure in order for the bar to stay stationary while unscrewing a screw that could be damaged. https://i.ibb.co/bLzZ7ZB/93-D94-A6-E-2997-4842-B98-C-C06-E171-FA293.png And you can see the screw has ...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

Since you don't plan on keeping the knobs, it may be time to go the surgical route and cut the knob away from the post. Remove everything away from the screw so you can isolate the post and hold it. I was thinking that, they are the black cork megabass knobs so I know I would have used them on some...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help

They usually put loctite on at the factory to keep the screws in. If the post is spinning with it, you'll have to find a way to keep it stationary before you have a chance with the screw. The handle is a 100mm Megabass carbon handle which was sold without knobs when it was available brand new in th...
