Re: Fenwick is Back! A First Look at the Completely Refreshed Lineup from Eagle to World Class

so way back in 1997 my first high end rod was a Fenwick CoFi 57 rod, which was a made in the USA rod along with their Techna AV rods. It was $192 Canadian which at the time was a lot for a rod. Fenwick released these two rods as sort of their 'come back' models I believe that were made in the USA at...

Re: The Megabass P5 Destroyers are Coming! A First Look at the US P5 Rod Launch Lineup

is that little nub of a trigger comfortable? Ive seen a few rods with similar triggers (like the SC LT casting rod) and I don't like the way they feel at all. doesn't feel secure in your hand no?

Re: Berkley’s PowerBait Infused Spinnerbaits – The Power Blade Series

These look awesome however for those of us up North we need closed loop spinnerbaits so a steel leader can be attached. Pike hammer them lol but in a bass only area I guess the safety pin type are ok. one of my pet peeves though: closed loop type spinnerbaits are usually thicker wire and hold up bet...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis

the last time I heard about Edge rods were people freaking out over on bassresource about ordering their rods and them taking 4 to 6 months to get made and shipped out.

I hope this has been rectified as Gary has always been the man when it comes to making rods!!

The Casting looks awesome, I'm just not to sure about the spinning rod handle myself.
I would agree. any spinning reel with a lock nut that locks top down is terrible IMO. I hate them

its gotta go bottom up for me

Re: Checking In With The New IMX, the 892C JWR

ya i guess thats kind of my point though: the special features often make the rods worse not better. look at the reviews on the GLX for example: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/G_Loomis_GLX_Casting_Rods/descpage-NGLX.html#customer_reviews the custom reel seat hurts peoples hands. I think they may us...

Re: Checking In With The New IMX, the 892C JWR

I found it interesting that this rod lost some points for having standard Fuji reel seats. ie 7/10. I actually think the opposite, it gains points for me because i don't want a 'custom' reel seat like on the GLX etc. if you look on tacklewarehouse, a lot of people hate the custom seats (they say tri...

Hey can we get a review on the G. Loomis GCX rod used in that review? Hi Hulkster! Thanks for the request and on it! It's one of the upcoming articles and we just need to finish the RoD deflection measurements/comparisons and this one will be in the mix. Been fishing it with a variety of reels incl...

Re: Shimano and G.Loomis Launch Limited Edition Bantam MGL & IMX-Pro Combos

take my money please!

as amazing as this combo is for the price, I am kind of thinking it might have been better to pair the bantam up with one of the newer more 'all around' MBR IMX Pro's like an 843c or 903c would it not?
