Re: New GLX

Up here in Canada, the Loomis pricing goes like this: GCX $350 IMX Pro $530 GLX $775 NRX+ $899 Conquest $1079 I have two IMX Pro rods and love them but I will never be able to step up to the next level unless I win the lotto lol and even then, $500+ for a rod is a lot in a place where our cost of li...

Re: New GLX

You can have a custom built for a fraction of the cost to mimic the look and components
true but it won't be a Loomis blank.

Re: New GLX

to be honest, I kind of like how they went back to the classic black and gold colors.

These were the colors of the GLX when it was first introduced. black blank, gold logo, gold trim.

Re: New GLX

Not that I can afford one lol, but the one set of rods that was missing from the old GLX line was SJR and MBR rods in the 7'6 lengths. The IMX Pro and NRX + have them but not in the middle with the GLX.

It looks like these aren't included this time around either. Its very weird.

Re: Longer, high end, versatile rod suggestions?

I have the MBR 903C in the IMX Pro version and it is an amazing rod

rocket launcher caster. I use it with a curado 200i and 12 pound test Sufix Siege.

Re: Recommendations for a hairjig rod

I have the IMX Pro SJR 901 which is a 7'6 light powered spinning rod that I use for all kinds of small lures and it amazing. but it was designed specifically for throwing small hair jigs. its rated for up to 5/16 oz lures and I use a Nasci 1000 reel on it with 6 pound test Sufix Siege. 358560957_101...

stradic 3000.

but I would use a good quality mono like Sufix Siege or Elite rather than floro.

its too stiff on spinning gear

Re: St Croix Seviin reels

On another forum this reel is being pimped HARD. The admin of the site is making the dubious claim that St. Croix designed the reel and owns the tooling, even though it's a Chinese OEM reel like everything else Banax. Those of us that know better were quick to point out that it's a Banax with a dif...

Re: 7'6" ML - M spinning rod for mid cranks

I have the SJR 901 S IMX Pro and its amazing for small light lures. its a light power rating

For something a little bit heavier like the DT series the SJR 902 IMX Pro might be just perfect. its rated 1/8 to 3/8 oz lures
