Re: Has anyone used this Legend before?...

I either hose down the rods and reels in the driveway or stand them up in the shower for a quick rinse. You don't have to remove the line.

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

I fished my 783 all day last Thursday and I can't tell you what color it is. It's quickly become my favorite. I can tell you about the osprey that pulled an 8-inch fish out of the pond in front of us and the white doves perched in the tree, but not the color of my rods. I think one of them is blue, ...

Re: How do you keep your tackle bag from getting soaked?

I keep most of my stuff in an old blind bag I bought 25 years ago when I was still duck hunting. Most things related to waterfowling need to be reasonably waterproof, or your steel shot rusts into a lump. It's the old version of the Drake bag... http://www.gundogsupply.com/drake-xl-blind-bag-2.html?...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

"Would you consider the 783c (albeit shorter) to be a fit in between a Conquest 843c and 842c? It didn’t feel as stiff as the 843c when I felt it at the last fishing show I attended, yet not as whippy as the 842c. Was curious as to your opinion since you have fished one." Honestly, I have no way of ...

Ask for facts? What fun would that be? Maybe they're renaming them and will be selling them on a new site after an upcoming release. Something like...

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

Cast with right.
Reel with left.

I began fishing with casting reels in the '50s and never liked having to switch hands to reel.

Fwiw, my father was also righthanded, but batted lefty and golfed lefty.

When I played golf I used righthanded clubs, but putted from the left usually.

Re: New Loomis site

Interesting, but it's still listed on the Xpeditor Program page. It's $150.

I still love my 783C after 2 weeks.
