Re: Meiho Tackle Storage

JohnnyA thanks for the pictures. Information and photos are hard to come by. I ordered the 7070 box and will sort out sub-boxes once recieved. Dalleinf and Winstondry thanks for your opinions too! The Plano stuff kills me as even the "better" boxes (Prolatch) don't live. I never buy/use the intercha...

Meiho Tackle Storage

Anyone here using the Meiho tackle storage systems? Like the VS-7070 box? Any opinions? How about availability in the states or abroad from a trusted retailer?

Thanks

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

I received the reel back today, unbelievable the difference.

"Before" it was terrible, kind of like a BPS reel.

Now it is what I would expect from Daiwa.

Thanks to all the guys at Tackle Trap. The service has always been impeccable! =D>

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

So we received the Ryoga 1016H from Windy City on Friday. I had the chance to open it up this morning. Starting with the obvious signs, I pulled the gear set out. Lack of lube was a non issue on this reel. There was plenty of grease on the gears. After cleaning and inspecting the gear set, there we...

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

I sent the Ryoga off to Gary at TT. Once received I am sure he can share his views. I assume it is a localized assembly issue as I have never bought a Daiwa reel I wasn't happy with. Either way I will have the pro go through it, straighten it out, and maybe improve it!

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

I received mt Ryoga from Japan on Sunday. Took it out of the box and cranked the handle and was a little disappointed. It doesn't freewheel worth a crap and it feels like a gear shaft is bent or something. With each turn their is a disconcerting tick and bump. Maybe it is an isolated case but at the...

Re: Conquest vs Ryoga

I bought a Ryoga Shrapnel last October just before going on a 2 day guided musky hunt in the Park Falls area. We beat the water from sun up to sun down. I had a Tranx, 2 Calcutta Conquests, an Abu Beast, and the Ryoga. By the end of the 2 days I was hands down convinced the Ryoga was the leader of t...
