Re: Evergreen Rapid Gunner RSR

Also of interest, the RG and SS look nearly identical but the guide train on the SS is very evenly spaced down the blank. Whereas the RG starts much further apart and progressively bunch together much tighter toward the tip. It was very visually different and immediately noticeable side by side. De...

Re: Daiwa KTF 30mm and 34mm Spool Availability

for those who have already used KTF spools. Have someone tried them with PE lines? and what dia/# do you use? I have ordered NEO and BFS 34mm and not sure whether they will work properly with PE lines. trying to understand will PE line brake the spool or not. I have PE on both my 30mm Finesse and 3...

Re: Post purple

Don’t you love when you get home from work and you got a couple rod tubes just leaning against the house waiting for you to get home? Since it is the 2018 purple edition, and 2019 is the year of no more shelf queens I had to have something to match my P.O. TD-Z. I grabbed a Designo Leben DLT-C71H+R...

Re: Eliminating Backlash on Strong Casts

I agree with many of the points brought up in the thread. Couple of questions and thoughts: -You have a large capacity reel there in the Shimano 400, specifically what are you using as backing (if any) to the 30# Samuri? If you are using a large daimeter filler line, it could contribute to the dig i...

Re: Taking spooled reels on flights...

Whhaaattt??? I've flown no less than 10 times both international and domestic with my spooled reels in my carry on backpack (up to 4 of them). I've had my backpack gone through and lighters, liquids ect...taken out. Never a peep about a reel with spool line. Maybe i was just lucky..10 times. Love to...

Re: Daiwa KTF 30mm and 34mm Spool Availability

While I am at it, I will share a big tip on the 30MM spools. Currently he makes a specific spool for the Steez CT SV and a specific spool for the Alphas CT/Millionaire. I ended up inadvertantly ordering one of each (I don't own a Alphas or Millionare). The only difference between the 2 spools is tha...

Re: Daiwa KTF 30mm and 34mm Spool Availability

I've never purchased anything from Karil website, how much they charge shipping for smaller items; spools, lures etc to USA and is there any other fees? I'm finding only shipping charges for Japan areas. At the current yen rate it's about $25 shipping. He ships the spool in a decent size box, he co...

34mm neo spools all colors are available right now!
Good eye! Well worth the investment.

Quick tip for signing up. Just pick any perfecture and move on, put your real address in the comment section. I think this prevents alot of people from getting it following through with a purchase.

Re: Steez XBD SVF Discontinued?

 Might look into scuba diving... That was my thought, find someone who dives, either free or with tanks. Their fee would likely be a lot less than the worth of that combo. To be honest It will be a year til I can even get back there. It was our annual trip. 3 Lakes in 7 days to get our break...

Re: Tulala Monstruo 710

That’s fantastic! I recommend checking out DRT USA site. I was pleasantly surprised with what they are now making available in the US and the DRT/Tulala offering sitting in the rods menu. Wow..your a hound-dog, not a polkfish. Who would have thought to look at a USA website for a JDM rod! Too bad I...

Re: Tulala Monstruo 710

Well I pulled the trigger, sight unseen on this swim-bait rod from Japan. The workmanship is exceptional, and the blank looks to be strong as nails, yet with a pleasantly soft tip that should handle baits from 1-4oz. with relative ease... Here's a short unveiling vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: How many rods/reels do you actually use

Not bieng a tournament fisherman. I can get away with 2-3 combo's all day long, freshwater or saltwater. Everyones requirements, finances and desires are different. But for me, If I had of know 2 years ago what I know now, my arsenal and purchasing pattern would have been much different. I was on th...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

As stated, I do like this reel, but I'm not used to something so limited in line capacity and so small...pain in the a** to get my fingers on the spool adjustment behind the drag star as well as adjusting the mag dial, but it will cast I believe better than my previous Calais usage. Definitely more...

Re: Watch out for these

Anyone try these yet? From Japan. I got some 3.8 Bellow Gills and 5.8 Bellow Sticks in a few weeks ago. Havent had the pleasure of using them yet. Just found some 2.8 Gills in stock yesteray and now they are on the way. Have seen alot of fish recently on blogs with these hanging out of thier face. ...
