I like shallow spools for pitching an flipping because I don't use backing at all Can't say much about the Yumeya spool other than, you are a one man spool Fort Knox. Soun...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

Really appreciate all the suggestions guys, I think I have a relatively good list now. Problem is I have to debate which rod to pick. I was going to go with another poison series rod because I've had mine for several years and it survived all my abuse without an issue. If I was to pull the trigger ...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=80154 Aside from how amazing the rod looks, i'm sure the extra $$$ is just for the name alone. Yeah, I'd say all considered, they are not overpriced. No clue if they are made in Japan or not, probobly not at that price point. Like PN said..hard...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

steez racing design. There are rods that are close to as good as racing designs but nothing better I would tend to agree with this statement. Materials, Component, Fit, and Finish as good as you can get in a production rod. But ...These are all bottom contact centric rods, read the suitable baits f...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

As an aside, there sure are a lot of racing references in JDM Tackle. Racing this, Lauda that, Zonda, Pagani, Type R, etc, I'm sure there are countless others. I'd never even heard of Designo and they printed Racing on their blanks, while the top tier Steez rods are the Racing Design series. It's f...

Re: Good jerkbait that’s better than a 110 or pointer?

I’m looking for a good jerkbait. I fish a resivoir near me a lot and have had no success with the 110 or pointer and always just end up tying on a fluke to nail them. I’m looking for a good hardbate, any suggestions? If your not getting hit on a 110 or Pointer, I'm not sure your going to get hit on...

Re: High end JDM rod recommendations

I would highly suggest a Major Craft MS-X. Although not top of the line, it's a great bang for your buck. That or a Duckett. OK.. all joking aside the MS-X is a great rod from what I hear and if that is your price range, one of the best options. If you are looking for top tier, Made in Japan, ...

Re: Tulala blanks?

=D> \:D/ =D> Bravo Sir...Great report and splendid looking rod. These have quickly moved up to #2 in the list of rods I want to purchase this year. Just haven't decided which one yet. Leaning toward one that will handle primarily SW duties. Almost pulled the trigger on a JetSlowxTulala travel rod fo...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

I have the Exsence on a conquest 842c and its awesome, the balance is also excellent. I do however want to try the Certate LT though. One of the big reasons I choose shimano is if I ever need their support or I need to order parts it makes life easy.... -Bronzeback, I noticed you sold an almost new...

Thanks for solving that puzzle.
I'm still puzzled. Why would Sawamura create a different braking profile on the spool for the Alphas/Millionare?...Weaker magnets? A difference in distance from the magnet to the inductor in the Steez vs. Alphas/Millionare? :-k

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

A little more digging. Same spool just an added .5MM shim.. ](*,) Considering I don't plan on throwing less that 4-5 grams, it might be a welcomed bit of control. I am mainly going to use it for 110 jr's and other 5-10 gram plugs. Will be interesting to compare the two. "Furthermore, CT spool can al...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I am slightly puzzled. The new SLP RCS CT SV 700 spool supposedly fits Steez/Alphas/Millionaire , at least according to the hedgehog site, while KTF has separate listings for the KTF Steez CT spool and KTF Alphas/Millionaire CT spool - with no indication that they are cross compatible. What is up w...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Today I'm happy because I visited in KTF shop in correct time. There is (or there was?) KTF BFS spools for ct Alphas / ct Millionaire. I managed to pick one to shopping cart and to register to the site. Of course there's needed more email sent to get address to corrected. (Because I'm living in Fin...
