No more Trickshop?
So I've noticed that the Trickshop is no longer available on the 13 Fishing website & Tackle warehouse's Trickshop inventory has shrunk quite considerably. Also, if reel components are still going to be available, will the style of star drags that come on the Concept Z gen 2 & Concept C gen 2 be ava...

Re: Garmin or Lowrance
Well the Hummingbird G3 still does it. Sometimes double the depth in less than say 4 ft water. In real shallow like 2 ft, it gets real confused but i think that may be any brand. The depth finder is probably not that useful in such shallow depths anyway. The Lowrance was worse then the Hb with the ...

Re: Garmin or Lowrance
Thanks for the input! I really like everything you just mentioned about the Humminbirds, but ever since I bought the Helix 5 Di GPS G2 it's had problems reading the correct depth, especially in less than 4ft of water where it will start showing that I'm in 33ft of water. They repaired my first unit ...

Garmin or Lowrance
I'm finally done with & ready to move on from Humminbird. I'm currently looking at either a Garmin Striker 7sv or an Lowrance Hook2 7 x gps. I should also say that I'm coming from using a Humminbird Helix 5 DI GPS G2 in my kayak and will be using one of the two brands that I just recently mentioned ...

Re: New bearings for my Concept C, advise needed
I know this response is late and you more than likely have already replaced them, but I have gotten great performance with Boca bearings and ZPI bearings in my Concept A & C reels.

Finesse spinning gear set up
I'm looking into getting a spinning reel & rod for finesse applications such as wacky rig, neko, ned & ect. I'm clueless when it comes to spinning gear b/c I've always fished baitcasters. What size spinning reel along with what power rod would you all recommend? I've been looking at either the Shima...

Daiwa Zillion Rods
Does anyone know if the Zillion rod series has been discontinued or if they are getting ready to release a new model? The Zillion rod is no longer listed on Daiwa's site & also noticed that TW does not have them listed either. I know that I'm opening a can of worms with this next question, but is th...

Re: New Line of Concept Reels
I for one like the current “shallow” spools on the Concept reels. Now the spool on the Shimano Scorpion BFS is too shallow for me, but I also understand that is an specific application reel. Speaking of JDM reels, it’s a shame more reel manufacturers haven’t followed the model that 13 has created wi...

Scorpion 70HG decal
The Scorpion decal on my reel rubbed off rather quickly and I was wondering if there is any place where I could purchase a new one?

Re: New Line of Concept Reels
3 years ago I decided to take a gamble & purchase your Concept A from TW and I’m so glad that I did. Hard to imagine how to improve on what is already a stellar line of reels, but I guess in a market that requires you to evolve or get left behind, I know you guys will kill it!

New Line of Concept Reels
I was just reading an article here on TT about how most manufacturers refresh their line of reels every 3 to 5 years or so. Also, I noticed that Tacklewarehouse no longer carries the Concept E. That got me thinking, will there be newer models of the Concept A, C, E & TX coming out in the years to co...

ZPI Bearings & When to clean?
So I recently purchased ZPI bearings for a few of my reels & I really do like how accessible they are. Since they do not have a shield, how often should I flush them & reapply oil? With my other bearings, I only do this once or maybe twice a year depending on how much I use a particular reel. Thanks...

Shimano Scorpion Frame Screws
Does anyone know the type of screwdriver needed to remove the frame screws from a Scorpion 70hg 2016 model? It seems to be like a flathead with a star in the middle. A phillips head screwdriver just strips the screws. I managed to loosen them with a small flathead, but would rather have the proper s...
