Re: Almost a kayak . . . better than a kayak?

I'm pretty sure the OP was referring to Carl of Keeping It Reel Fishing. He's done a video going into detail why the Sportspal is such a great vessel. His content is also top notch.

Re: Favorite paddletails?

I'm really digging the Biospawn Exoswim 4" - I out fished my brother in law who was using a Keitech Impact Fat Swimg 4.3. Mind you, I was using a Dirty Jigs 1/2oz California Swim Jig (Tactical Trout) and he had a white Gambler 1/4oz jig head. I own Keitechs, they're great, but they don't hold up ver...

Re: Chipped paint on jig heads

give dirty jigs a try...paint finish is very durable...i fish a very rocky lake and have had no issues with them compared to other jigs i used to use that would fall apart after a days usage..... I own several Dirty Jigs - Tour Level Pitch, California Swim Jigs, reg Swim Jigs, Finesse Swim Jigs and...

Re: Daiwa J-Braid x4 ?

It's OK, but definitely a budget braid. I used some 50 last summer for frogging and punching and it worked fine, but not as well as standard Power Pro, which is better constructed, more tightly woven and less prone to tip wrapping. I wouldn't buy it if I could get power pro, but it works well enoug...

Re: Lunkerhunt Frogs

Avoid them like the plague, guzzle water and are very fragile as others have stated. I gave the white combat frog a fair shake in some lillys and no luck. The action is odd but I found a straight retrieve worked best. Still reaching for my R2S Bully Wa first, Live Target a 2nd. Haven't tried the Bro...

Overcast and the Morning Dawn worked great together.

Re: Megabass Gatta-X versus Jackall Pompadour

The Gr. Siglett and Pomp flat out catch fish, I'm a little worried about the longevity of the Gr. Siglett because it gets mauled. The Duo Shinmushi is way more fragile than the Gr. Siglett. I also own a Heddon Crazy Crawler, but I can't recommend it because either one or both blades foul 8 times out...

Re: Tutula SV TW review... what did you mean?

I don't understand this statement either. With the right line you mean this reel can it handle a 30"+ Northern or Muskie?
