Re: Anyone deal with Cross Outdoor Gear?

FYI, I went to the Cross Outdoor Gear website just to see what was what. No sooner leaving that then going to Facebook, I got a Cross ad on my timeline.

Re: Buying Multiple Bait Colors as Backups...???

At least 2. There are some baits that take a beating because they are productive, so lips and hardware loosen.

2 or more with a productive bait.

Re: Meiho Tackle Storage

Thanks JohnnyA, I found availability on Amazon and have a box inbound. I hope you like it. One of the neatest attributes is the dividers things being about 1/16, maybe less, apart than the 2" or so. You can really customize your trays. The 3080 top and bottom are designed so if you lift it wit...

Re: Meiho Tackle Storage

I've been using Meiho/Versus 3080 and several other boxes from the company for about 15 years, with the 3080 a primary box for 10 years. Very satisfied. Just added another box to use for sundry items like light bulbs, fuses, etc. If there is anything specific you'd like to know, I'd be glad to help.

Re: Gan Craft Jointed Claw - is it worth it / colors

I did see the 148, but went with the 178. I'm looking for good fish (3-5#). Also, when pressed for numbers vs quality I'd rather have a shot at a truly big one than catch a couple extra 2-3#'s. There is also not that much of a size difference between the 178 and 148. 30mm is about 1" to 1.25&q...

Stream of consciousness about reel knob preferences. I think it was triggered by the new Tatula knobs, REVO knobs and Lew's knobs. Just on preferences and if thoughts behind preferences. That's nothing major.

Knobs

I shaped, preferably cork. Not a big fan of paddle or T shaped. Is it possible to be allergy to EVA? Not a Shimano guy but the Septons look interesting.

Re: Gan Craft Jointed Claw - is it worth it / colors

It does sound like it's worth it (not that needed that much convincing). I saw the review and it is what led me to keep looking into the bait. I'm going to go with the 178 size - my thought is to draw out / catch bigger fish. I have the smallest size Swaver and want to go bigger. Any chance of nail...

Re: Gan Craft Jointed Claw - is it worth it / colors

Yes. #08 Ezo Ugui #16 Waka Ayu I don't know which iteration of TT it was but there is my story of watching a bass hit my Jointed Claw #148. The reservoir water was gin clear. The bass was huge. I was in awe, pulled the bait away too quickly. That was my tale of woe. If you can find the Megabass Limb...

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

Steez or not Steez, why did Daiwa take the Shimano Scorpion spool design from almost 20 years ago and reintroduce it? I know I'm not the first to bring this to anyone's attention. Huh? Huh? On top, new Daiwa Tatula spool. On bottom, quite similar to the point of almost exact.Almost 20 year old Scor...
