Re: Handle knob problems

I noticed the blue Loc-tite many years back and decided that's it's probably the best course of action to put a little dab on and not worry about it.

Well at least someone finally answered his question. Maybe that's why he doesn't post here anymore, since before the 1st crash!
Maybe he got caught up in that whole time-space continuum thingy

If you made one post a picture?
I added a swivel and I’m only using one split ring. I’m not sure how effective it will be but I’m also only using #3 tokar ( some time spell check is a pain ) ewg hook
I use 2 split rings. Think it was a Gammy EWG

Re: Little Bling Steezy Style

1. The new 103 SV spool worked out EXACTLY the way I needed. Casts extremely well with line left on the spool. In the event the impoundment fish want to run and play. 2. The C and C handle feels great in hand. 3. I was looking at the new set and noticed something about the gold spool and with the da...

Little Bling Steezy Style

Been a long time since I've done any customization. Partly functional, a 103 spool, partly purtification, the carbon and cork. Gonna see how this works out.

Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

I recall someone comparing inductor heights from the different SV spools and noting significant differences. I'd say that ad long as you have a comparable inductor and spring on the 103 spool you're installing, it'll perform very similarly to the stock 105. I ordered the Daiwa 103 SV from japantack...

Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

If running 22 lb test, I'm not using the 105. The two spools are almost identical in performance. You need the 103 bud. There was something else with the Steez 103 vs LTD SV 105 8.1. I don't like the feel of the Steez 103, it's too light or toyish or something. The finish of the LTD feels more meta...

I've not seen any issues in that regard.
Thanks. I didn't think so. When MB uses a different formulation for the plastics they put the baits in a self-contained tray like the Cat's Kill worm or Hazedong, etc.

What length and actions do you prefer?

Lure Like I Loud , Shower blow ( the middle one I think 115?? ) and walking baits.
I've boiled it down to the Flat Side Special. Enough backbone, soft enough tip, good enough bouncy in the blank to keep the fish occupied.

Dark Sleeper - wormproof?

Is the Dark Sleeper a reactive plastic or is it a "worm proof" situation?
Thanks!

Re: I hope this past doesn't cross the line

It may also be that it is the end of the season and a lot of things are just out of stock. It is not unusual for Japanese tackle manufacturers to have one production run per year. When some product is out of stock it can be out of stock for months - until the next year's production run. That crosse...

Re: I hope this past doesn't cross the line

I love Shimreels and their shipping is actually pretty quick on something like a rod. If you just buy like one pack of hooks or something, yeah, it's gonna take some time. Not a month, though, unless it gets hung up in customs or lost or something. I was actually referring to lures and line than to...
