Re: What happen to the Z hype?

Fish the Z2020 & you'll know why people want a Z1016 8-) Ehh, ~~. Z2020 is a very good non-bass reel but a forced square peg bass reel. It's a bit big and heavy for standard duty applications, but when it comes to swimbaits there isn't a better lowpro out there. X2 And an awesome A rig reel as ...

A lot of time went into field testing products, months sometimes, unless there was a specific aspect that was being examined.

Re: Japanese style bass boats

A long time ago, one of the guys in a bass club I was in had a 15' bass boat. Fiberglass + goodies. Not a bad deal if you have smaller bodies of water BUT better suited for a one guy trip.

Re: Shallow spool?

I use plumbing thread tape (PTFE). It is extremely thin, stretches around the spool, and compresses under the line. It offers a little bit of grip but doesn’t have any adhesive to be left behind on your spool when you change it. Spools large enough for mono backing get line, but for super shallow s...

Re: MB dock rod

I always thought of the G-Ax as about 2 steps below one of those tuna fishing rods from the Disney movies. Yanking tuna over the gunnel. Yeah, it does have a lot of power no doubt, but at 6'7" and a big chunky jig/trailer, it does skip baits well enough and certainly has the backbone to ...
