Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

Yeah, I guess I’m trying to figure out what market diawa is shooting for with the elite line of reels... On one hand, if I’m looking for something to just chuck-n-reel, than I’d be more inclined to buy a tat 100. If I’m throwing lighter baits, I want a more refined reel with better control. In which...

Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

Morning all! I’m curious to hear any opinions between these two reels. I have a couple zillion SV tws and I absolutely love them. Are the elites that close to the performance of the zillions that it justifies the $50 price difference? Or for the money, should I just go a head and pick up another zil...

Re: New Tatula Elite Reel

I have a tat 100 that “clunks” also. It doesn’t do it as much with line spooled up, and only does it if I’m reeling in really quickly. I guess time will tell it becomes a bigger issue, but for now it doesn’t really bother me that much

Re: Sensory Rods

I’m no engineer, far from it, and I am naive to how rod blanks are made, but the wrapping pattern of the carbon fiber/graphene or whatever doesn’t look that strong with that spiral wrap. I would think a cross pattern like you see on shimano and megabass would be stronger. Looks cool though.

Sensory Rods

Looks like 6th Sense just droppped their new line of rods. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of the full EVA handle, but other than that they look real nice. I’m interested in What their quality and durability will be like. I like their crankbaits and jigs a lot. https://6thsensefishing.com/collections...

894 handles up to 3/4 oz very well, 895 does not handle 1/4 at all. 895 is a very stout stick and rather tip heavy. 894 is the more versatile of the two by far.
Would you say the 894 would work as a good power shot rod? I typically throw a PS with a 1/4 oz weight around lay downs

GLX 894 vs 895

Pardon my ignorance, but what’s the difference between the 894 vs 895? Is the 895 more versatile? Have a different action? Everywhere I look gives a weight range of 1/4 - 1 oz, but the 894 is only 5/16 - 3/4. Will the 895 really handle that light of a bait very well?

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

So, kind of doing a 180 here and starting to lean towards either an IMX/GLX 894 or a St Croix Legand Tournament/Elite strictly because of their warranties. I have a 9 yo and a pretty smalll boat and I like the idea of if anything happens I have the warranty to fall back on and not have it ruin our t...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

PP is the front runner right now. Thank you for the update. Now my biggest concern is I will be wanting to buy more than one lol You wouldn't be the first to have that experience! Best of luck regardless of your choice. Let us know! Will do for sure! And thank you for all the help. Freaking boat mo...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

I just used a Braillist yesterday and it handled a lot of baits really well. I mostly had luck using a chatterbait, but I think it would handle jigs and plastics in the range you mentioned, especially if you're not in heavy cover. At 7'5" it is an inch longer than what you specified, though. I stil...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

i have a lot of time in on the perfect pitch and the h3 7'3 hvy . both are stellar rods and are somewhat comparable when it comes down to baits they can throw , both being very versatile. Frogs, jigs, creatures, and skinny dippers are the main things in throw on mine. for me im going to go with the...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

What’s MB warranty/CS like? Do they have any type of replacement program for non manufacture/out of warranty misshaps? Their customer service is top notch. I've been dealing with them personally for many years and they take good care of their customers. Here is a link to the Megabass of America web...

Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

Do you have any experience with the H 3’s for comparison? They seem at the top of the list for a lot of people, and a little less expensive by like $50 I do not, but I do have plenty of experience with the Megabass rods... What’s MB warranty/CS like? Re: Jig/T-rig Rod

The Megabass XX Perfect Pitch is an excellent option, or perhaps the XX Diablo Spec R since you aren't fishing anything over 1/2 oz and down to 1/4 oz with very little cover... both of these rods are fantastic, your personal preference of power would determine the right choice between the two. How ...
