Re: Good jerkbait that’s better than a 110 or pointer?

For the last few years, every time i don't use a vision 110, i ask myself why am i wasting time. All the squadminows, reranges, shadow rap shads, etc are a no match for the vision 110's. I still use em because they're cheaper, but if i could, i'd use the 110's exclusively. The way they slash in the...

Re: Alphas 2019 vs 2017 model

2015 can be had for much cheaper. bearing upgrade the whole thing and you have an 11bb cheap'ish quality reel.

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

Daiwa fans don't hold to their older daiwas as much as shimano fans? WH :laugh1: T? the pixy and the tdz platform is significantly more popular (on this forum that is) than any older shimano reels, even their masterpieces such as the conquest 50 and the conquest dc's.

Bit surprised no one voted for the met mgl. Always thought it was very popular in here.

I haven't tried, but because ct Steez can take enough line, I would say it's better.

And just after wrote this I begin thinking was question the best reel for bass or was it the best bass reel?
Bass reel, yea

Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

In your opinion, is it? It has to be a low profile baitcaster that is currently in production.

Re: Scorpion 1000XT vs Alphas SV 105

50E platform is more comfy to palm than the pixy/alphas platform. But the casting distance is much better on the alphas.

Re: Used SS SV or Tatula SV TW

I would go with the SS SV any day. Palms better and is just a downgraded steez which is much better than any kind of Thailand made tatulas. Plus the overbraking on the SV spool of the SS SV isn't a bad thing for someone learning baitcasters.

Re: Daiwa Steez 103HL

aren't ZPI NRC-001PG spools very fast? i wouldn't use them in an OG steez with its weak magnets. The spool that's in it right now is very fast too. I believe it's the 103h r+ spool. The one with all the dimples. I think I'll just look for the zillion sv spool some more. Yea the original R+ is way t...

DC problems on a Met MG DC

I was wondering if any of you had this happen on any of your DC reels. On the Met MG DC you have your 4 adjustments, the L, M, A and W. L being for the longest casts and W for max brakes/wind. What's happening is that L applies more braking power than M, and sometimes they both apply the exact same ...

Re: parts for a daiwa td z/ito

You cant put a swept handle on a factory TDZ star, you will need to swap the star to a swept star as well. Yeah. You don't need washers for clearance between the straight drag star and swept handle. You need a swept drag star. Make sure you also acquire the appropriate handle collar for whichever d...
