Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

My 904 with a Metanium mgl balances about a quarter inch forward of the hook keeper. My NRX 894 balances maybe a quarter inch further forward with same reel.

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

Fished today with mine. 904c with a Metanium MGL and 15# Tatsu. Caught 16 Spots tonight, biggest around 3. 3/16 shakeyhead with trick worm. Little overkill, got it for t-rig and jigs, but couldn’t resist fishing with it today. Wicked sensitive, can’t wait to go to Chickamauga this weekend!

Re: Backlash proof reel

Been Shimano for 25 years, never thought I would buy Daiwa! Bought the cheap Tatula about a month ago, that thing bombs cranks and top Water, pretty much unbacklashable. That’s the reason I asked about the Daiwa. Wanted you guys to say Shimano! Lol!!!

Backlash proof reel

Wanting to get wife a new reel for Christmas. She does fine with her chronarchs but sometime struggles in the wind and lighter baits. Throws mostly T-rigs but small shakeyheads can be tough. Thinking maybe a JDM Metanium dc or one of the Daiwa Zillions. She uses a Loomis NRX 803 and a new GLX 782 an...

Re: Gloomis rod above NRX????!!!!!

NRX rods are sensitive, but the reel seats break, guides pop out if line breaks,so fragile! They are my favorite rods but they have a great warranty because you need it! If the NRX blank was in new GLX components you would have the best rod made! No recoil guides, better reel seat. The recoils are ok t...
