Re: Shimano Spinning Suggestions

My concern with the Exsence ci4+ is that the spool holds 110m of 8lb line, where as the Sustain holds 155m of 8lb line. Is this going to drastically cut down my casting distance? The line capacity will not cut down your casting distance unless you can spool the reel on a cast. Where casting differe...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

I have 3 Conquests and plan on adding at least 1 more. So far in the line up, CNQ 842s , CNQ 843s and a CNQ 903c.
I also have the 2016 series GLX 842 , 843 and 844. Any one want to give any recommendations for my next casting rod in the Conquest line and what you would use it for?

Re: Dobyns fury 705cb vs champion 704cb glass

I use the DX705cb glass as my square bill rod and am very fond of it.

Re: Exsence vs Stella FJ

The Exsence is a little lighter and has a CI4+ spool and is very smooth but is a little lite in the refinement compared to the Stella. As described above, it feels precision engineered. It is just a little smoother and has a more connected feeling. It also has a metal spool. Important to me for some...

Re: Exsence vs Stella FJ

Get the 2500s instead of the 3000. Same reel, just shallower spool.

I'm 6ft and use a straight down action.

Re: Exsence vs Exsence Ci4+

After watching the linked video I will most likely be going with a stadic for my next spinning reel.
I have 3 high end reels already and can not see myself laying down the coin for such a small enhancement.
It will be a Stella or stradic.

Re: G. Loomis MBR 842 GLX

I have the MBR 842 GLX and use it for jerk baits as well as a drop shot rod. I think it would make an excellent small crank rod.
I don't have a 782 to compare.

This, he goes back through the loop from the opposite side.

If you don't want to lay down the cash, don't try one! Because if you do it will be all you think about till you scratch that itch.

Re: Exsence vs Exsence Ci4+

I just received my Esence and am not impressed when compared to my Stella's. It is not as smooth and balanced in the rotor as well as the spool being a composite material. A very nice reel, but just lacking in my eyes for the price point.

I will give it some time and see if my opinion changes.
