Re: Shimano Conquest 101?

It would take 17 pages for me to write everything plus I would need to take several pictures. Even then it will not be the same as having you sit with a reel in front of you and working on them for 15+ years to get to that point. I am wondering if you were talking about something like supertune tha...

Re: New Shimano 2018 Reels

Yes it is VBS in the Conquest A model due to the synchronized level wind. It would not work with the SVS brake system due to how it is designed. Casting the same lures side by side I noticed zero change in casting distance or performance between the two. agree. I have many shimano baitcasting reels...

Re: New Shimano 2018 Reels

Bantam,

I am wondering why the new conquest brake system changed back to VBS from SVS? I have no problem with VBS, just curious

Re: 16 Aldebaran bfs owners: Question for ya

With my 16 Aldebaran BFS XG, the lightest nylon line that I have used is 5LB Sniper and the IIRC, the lightest braid was 10LB Suffix 832. I have never had line get caught in between the spool and the frame. When I owned a 15 Aldebaran BFS XG Limited, the lightest line that I used was 5LB Sniper and...

Re: Another bearing question

I'm working on a buddys old CU201BSF, and the bearing that slides on the Drive Shaft was rusted out really bad, and actually stuck on the drive shaft. The part# is BNT0031, I was wondering if that part, or a superseding part is still in stock? Thanks, I'm getting ready to place a parts order later ...

Re: Envy?

I heard that Envy is discontinued... and one of my two Envy black rods broke after I landed a 4lb walleye... that was the 3rd time I used the rod I believe. now waiting for warranty process update, I heard that I maybe get a Muse instead... which is lower grade than Envy black. If that's the case, I...

Re: Shimano bearing part# for 3x7x3mm

I checked my bearing size list and can't find any bearing that matches the dimensions you listed. This is one of the bearings we never received a part number for and required the spool to be replaced if it needed a bearing. In this case you will have to use an aftermarket bearing unfortunately. The...

Re: looking for parts# for Aldebaran and metanium

Here is a link to our parts and schematics: https://fishshop.shimano.com/pages/low-profile We always suggest replacing gears as a set. Yes the Curado K drive gear will fit the Metanium, but the dimensions are not the exact same as the Metanium gear. Some of the drag washers will not fit properly in...
