Re: Most abrasion resistant braid - Frogin

You should take a look at Sunline FX2 in 50 or 60 pound.

Re: Longer ML spinning rod

Agree with ShimanoFan, check out Phenix, the feather series has a 7'7 Medium, but their Medium is more like a ML, and the M1 has a 7'8 Medium.

Re: Phenix Rods Hydra 8 Strand Braided Line Green

I've fished this in 40 pound last season and I really like how it casts and it's much quieter than PowerPro for sure. I did notice though that the line fades pretty quick, but just slightly though. Once it fades a little bit though it tends to stay that same color for a while (pretty similar to what...

Re: Color braid?

I've only fished dark/moss green and high vis red braid. The high vis red I have on my finesse spinning rod since it's much easier to see the line move than the moss green.

Re: keitech 2.8 rigging

I use the revenge darter heads in 1/8 or 3/16 oz, and rig these on my finesse underspins. I think dirty jigs offers one as well, I believe it's called a guppy head? Tactical Bassin did a youtube video on finesse swimbait rigging pretty recently.

Re: Rod for a "Guest" Angler

I just let them borrow one of my older spinning rods that I hardly use anymore, usually like a Medium or Medium Light rod, and just tie on a drop shot or slip shot. Right now the rod I let my friends borrow that want to go fishing with me is an OG daiwa tatula 7'1 ML.

Re: Tackle storage for bank fishing

I also just bring a backpack and just carry one 3600 size tackle box that has some hardbaits, jigs, and terminal tackle. For soft plastics, I use a ziplock bag and bring about 5-6 packs of different variations. I always have a pair of braid cutters, pliers, a scale, small first aid bag, and water. I...

Not sure if you're a braid guy, but if you are, you should check out this thread for types of braided line for spinning gear:

Re: Finesse spinning gear set up

I always have at least one spinning rod with me whenever I go fishing just in case the day calls for light line/finesse fishing. I actually find it pretty fun now that I put in more time on the water last year using finesse techniques. I have the Phenix 7'2 M1 Medium rod and that's pretty much good ...

Re: What rod caught you the most fish in 2018?

That Phenix M1 7'2 Medium spinning rod was the one that caught me the most fish in 2018. 2018 was the year I put in the time to work on my finesse fishing, and it was fun for sure.

Re: At Home Plastics Storage

Just like others have said, I use large storage bins at home for soft plastics, and then inside the bins I place them in big ziplock bags by type of soft plastics (e.g. craws/creature in one zip lock, senkos in a ziplock, drop shot baits in a ziplock, etc)

My Tatula LT also came with just a parts diagram I believe, but I can double check the box when I get home.

As others have mentioned, an updated curado/scorpion 70 with an MGL spool would be nice to see.

Re: New drop shot hooks not finesse enough?

I tried one of those spinshot once and don't like it at all, too bad I had 2 brand new packs. It help reducing line twisted but not much endup main line tangled with that xtra hardware (4lbs line)itself. My prefer dropshot hook, Gamakatsu EWG #2 (I recently ordered #4 to try out) and Roboworm rebar...
