Re: Finesse spinning gear set up

I always have at least one spinning rod with me whenever I go fishing just in case the day calls for light line/finesse fishing. I actually find it pretty fun now that I put in more time on the water last year using finesse techniques. I have the Phenix 7'2 M1 Medium rod and that's pretty much good ...

Re: What rod caught you the most fish in 2018?

That Phenix M1 7'2 Medium spinning rod was the one that caught me the most fish in 2018. 2018 was the year I put in the time to work on my finesse fishing, and it was fun for sure.

Re: At Home Plastics Storage

Just like others have said, I use large storage bins at home for soft plastics, and then inside the bins I place them in big ziplock bags by type of soft plastics (e.g. craws/creature in one zip lock, senkos in a ziplock, drop shot baits in a ziplock, etc)

My Tatula LT also came with just a parts diagram I believe, but I can double check the box when I get home.

Re: What's next for Shimano???

As others have mentioned, an updated curado/scorpion 70 with an MGL spool would be nice to see.

Re: New drop shot hooks not finesse enough?

I tried one of those spinshot once and don't like it at all, too bad I had 2 brand new packs. It help reducing line twisted but not much endup main line tangled with that xtra hardware (4lbs line)itself. My prefer dropshot hook, Gamakatsu EWG #2 (I recently ordered #4 to try out) and Roboworm rebar...

FG when I'm at home tying connection knots. When I'm out on the water, I use the alberto knot.

Re: New drop shot hooks not finesse enough?

Those swivel shot hooks are mainly useful if you don't want to deal with line twist. Also you can just shorten or lengthen your leader more easily as well. I like the concept of being able to change the length of the leader, and I do have some of these hooks, but haven't used them that much since I ...

Re: Edge Rods

That's a pretty long lead time. I'd only wait that long if it were a true custom built rod where I choose the length, guides, grips, reel seat, etc. I was just looking into their rods too!

Re: Phenix Feather

I really like my 7’1” M feathers. I have two of them, use them for just about everything. I really like them for tubes, jig worms/shakeyheads, Neko rigs. I have been very impressed with sensitivity with all of my feathers, they haven’t left me wanting more especially for the price. The one thing ab...

Re: Phenix Feather

Has anyone tried the 7'1 Medium Feather? Also anyone know how it compares to the 7'2 Medium M1 as far as sensitivity goes? I've fished the 7'2 M1 a lot this past year, and just really like the blank itself, but just debating whether I should just get a custom M1 or give the Feather a try.

Re: Meiho Tackle Storage

These boxes look like some high quality grade. I'm looking to replacing my 3600 plano's, do you happen to know which tackle boxes are about the same size of the 3600 plano's? I'm looking for one that can store my terminal tackle, one for hard baits, and one for jigs and general purpose. Thanks in ad...
