I was told that the new Chronarch will be released at the 2017 Classic.timinmo wrote:So I am wondering. Did I miss it, are these reels coming to US or will they be JDM only? While I have ordered JDM before it is nice if we can get them state side.

Re: chatter help
I found the now discontinued Gambler version to have the best hook and land ratio. I don't have much to add to what the other guys already suggested I just wanted to agree 100% about those old Gambler baits. I only have 2 left but so far they've easily been the best chatterbait I've fished. Great g...

Re: Opinions on heavy cover jig?
I'm very fond of the Dirty Jigs no jack flipping jig. It works through wood and grass well for me. It's also available in a ton of colors and a fairly good weight selection.

I'm also very interested in trying this line, very little "hands on" info out there so far but all I've read has been positive.

Re: true jig plus plastic weight
I obviously can't speak for everyone but I've just always assumed guys were talking about the weight of their jig. I've never tried to figure out the combined weight. This doesn't mean others haven't or that it isn't a valid consideration when deciding on a rod. I've just never thought of or wanted ...

Re: cumara snapping
I had the exact same thing happen to my first Cumara, picked it up very soon after their release from my local shop. It was the 7'9" umbrella rig rod, got it home mounted my reel spooled it with line and then started to check the flex... snap ! I'm talking I put very little pressure on it and it sna...

Re: Liking PP 30#
I'm a big Power Pro fan myself, I'm using 20# on my spinning reel and I'm very satisfied with it. I've tried 30# but I felt it was a little overkill for bass fishing. I use a lot of 50# and 65# on my casting reels with 50# being my favorite overall strength for those. I've also had very good luck wi...

Re: Metanium 4 brake block vs 6?
Yes this is an actual item, it's very funny you should ask about it because I just saw it yesterday while looking around on Shimano Japan's web page. It's listed there under the Yumeya parts. It seems like I remember Bantam saying something to the effect of the 4 block being a slightly modified "bet...

Re: Correct grease for Shimano low pro baitcast reels.
Well I've been using the star drag grease on my gears for a few years now with absolutely no issues.

Re: Correct grease for Shimano low pro baitcast reels.
I'm not Bantam but I can answer your question. Yes the star drag grease is the recommended grease to use from Shimano. I've been trying a couple of different types of their grease from Japan lately, I don't have enough time in with them yet to say if I like them any better than the regular grease or...

Re: Chronarch 101B
As bad as I hate to say this (because the CH B is one of my all time favorite reels) but I'm pretty sure you're stuck having to live with the play. I've changed roller bearings a couple of times in mine but the play always come back. I'm a Shimano guy to the bone and even though this slight amount o...

Any new Curado 300 rumors?
I was just wondering if you guys have heard anything about a new Curado 300 model? It seems about time to upgrade this reel so I was just curious. I'm perfectly happy with my 301E personally but I've read quite a few post on various forums of guys really wanting a new "up to date" model. Mostly on s...

Re: Best Buzz Frog/Toad
I tried a pack of the Mann's frog a while back. They were a solid little bait I just didn't care for them because they didn't kick up enough water for me. No doubt that they catch fish though.
