All of my casting reels are Metanium MGL’s except for one Chronarch MGL. It is used for cranking. I’m always looking to eke out a little more distance with my cranking set up. Does anyone with knowledge of both know if I can get greater distance with the Metanium than a Chronarch MGL?

I really like the Hitena braid. I am slowing converting all my reels to that. So far, I only have the Supercast. I want o try the Silky.
I have one and I love it. I also have had IMX Pro’s, GLX, and NRX. The Conquest is lighter and stronger than any of the others. Sensitivity is about the same as an NRX. In my opinion, you can do pretty much anything you would want to with a spinnng rod with the 842s (except drop shot).
I have tried the Super Cast. I was told it is the one to get for bottom contact. I have it on two reels and likevit. It is very thin and strong. The Silky is insanely expense, but I do want to try it.
I have never owned a glass rod, but I am considering an Expride 7.2 MH glass rod. I currently have an IMX PRO 845CBR for squarebills and mid divers and a 906CBR for mid and deep divers. They are good rods. I only own one Expride, which is a 6'10 Medium. I like how light it is and especially how far ...

I like Megabass products, but the Conquest is in a different league. It is a lot more money, but I love mine. You can pick up a used on this (or another) forum.

I have gotten into off shore fishing this summer (mainly deep diving crankbaits). I want to try fishing bigger worms on heavier shakey heads. I am getting ready to order some 9 inch T-Macs and 1/2 stand up jigs for starters. Anyone had success/advice with this technique?

I currently am using a G. Loomis IMX PRO 906CBR for deep diving crank baits (up to 1 ounce). My limit is the 1.25 ounce Spro Super DD and Berkley Dredger 25.5. It works great, but I would like to get longer casts. Does anyone have a Dobyns Champion XP Cranking Rod 8' MH 805 that you use to throw 6XD...

I was wondering if anyone has experience with these rods. I currently have the 845CBR and use it to throw mainly 1/2 Spro squarebills and mediums divers. I am beginning to throw some of the smaller deep divers. I was considering getting a second rod, a 906CBR for throwing deep divers and making long...
Actually, I was looking at a Dobyns Sierra Series Spinning Rod 6'9" Medium today. Tackle Warhouse has it on sale for 25% off. I have never had a Dobyns, so I don’t much about them other than they have a good reputation.
I use 10 lb braid with a short leader. My budget is $250 or less. I have been able to get several of the IMX Pros at really good deals. I do like Loomis, Expride, and Zodias, but it I’m not stuck on those brands. I actually looked at the Don Iovino, but I wondered how the extra fast tip would work. ...
One of my favorite ways to catch bass is on a little 1/4 Rico or Megabass Pop x. I fish bigger poppers on casting gear, but I prefer spinning rods for this technique. Last year, I tied a popper onto a Loomis GLX 6’10 Shaky Head rod. I caught more fish on that set up and almost anything else last yea...
