Re: NFC wobblehead blank

If you are going to use a 3/4 ounce head and then add trailer you might consider the 765 but if you are more along the lines of half ounce the 736 is your sweet spot. The 5 power Northforks are pretty stout. One other option would be to take a 7108 and chop 3-5” depending on your length preference. ...

RX10 eternity

Does anyone have any feedback on the new RX10 Eternity? I am specifically looking towards the Etec72mh.

Thanks

Re: Point Blank frog rod

If you want a high end moderate, they do have a moderate in the 7’6” that might work on heavier frogs but it’s pretty stout. The only other high end blank in a moderate I know of would be the NFC HM MB 09’s.

Re: Kistler rods?

Point blank possibly as new supplier? They are the first one to come to mind as a top tier blank to outperform X-ray and they cost more as well.

Re: NFC X-ray 6100-1 DSR

Build it as a caster. True finesse spinning rods are a dime a dozen. Casters are far more exquisite. IMO

Re: NFC X-ray 6100-1 DSR

Cal I am saying build 2 rods. A caster and a spinner both utilizing the same model blank as the base of the build.

I would suggest building one of each and see which you find to be the more effective tool

Re: Point Blank Rod for Football Jigs

I built the 761 Flipping blank for this purpose and couldn’t be happier!! I have a couple of guys using them and they cannot say enough good about them. They use them for 3/4 footballs in deep water bombing cast as far as they can. I have personally boat flipped fish over 7 with mine

Re: Alpha Angler blanks

I would say it is the Northfork dropshot rod, it loads deeply into the blank

Re: Alpha Angler blanks

They have the same ridges as found on the NEO, x ray and delta. I will have a chance to measure both side by side sometime next week. I am not aware of any other NEO other than the 765 X Ray.

Alpha Angler blanks

Does anyone know who Alpha Angler is using for their blanks? I got to play with one of their chatterbait rods today. If I had to wager a guess, I would say it is a Northfork NEO.

Re: Thread finish epoxy

I personally like Threadmaster but if you wait till February you will be able to procure a new product,Gen 4. It has all the qualities of Threadmaster without the bubbles. You will be able to get it from Bingham Enterprises. If you are wanting to get a product right away, go with Threadmaster. I tri...
