Re: Color braid?

I like green and yellow, I personally would like just plain white without any die. Fireline Ultra 8 in Crystal color. I use it on many reels. Easy to see and excellent line. Yeah but the FG knot is not good with the Ultra 8 Sorry- I only use it when tying directly to terminal gear with the palomar ...

Re: Color braid?

If you wish to see the line don't use blue!
I tried it once and that was enough for me. Most of the techniques I use I need to follow the line.

Re: New fireline fused 8 carrier

I use 20# ultra 8 on numerous steelhead reels. I would guess its about the same diameter of 12# mono. Great stuff! Stiff as wire until it breaks in. 6# on the trout rods is fantastic also. I use the crystal which is easy for these old eyes to see and dont have to worry about fading like the hi vis S...

High quality slip floats

Looking for high quality slip floats between 2-4 grams. Tall orange indicator preferred. Anyone have any experience with these? I cannot find any in the US besides Thill but just ordered a few Drennan Dibber floats from the UK........ Need a tall "indicator" as usually casting 1/16th oz ji...

Re: Bubble fishing for trout

Ordered and received the 8' Daiwa presso.
Not impressed- sloppy cork and very top heavy even when loaded with my heaviest small reel which is a Stradic 1000FK. ](*,)

Re: Bubble fishing for trout

If you are looking for JDM around 7' 6", I think you can't beat the Olympic 2018 Corto in 7' 4". I just sold one but can vouch that it is top bang for the buck, made in Japan. Problem is that a lot of 18 Cortos are selling with some dealers. Love my Loomis TSR901 but at 7'6" it is no...

Re: Chronarch MGL New issue

Thanks Bantam I appreciate the help! Dumb question I know there is no adjustment on the thumb bar ](*,) BUT I have never even lubed it and am comfortable taking the reel apart so will see if that resolves the issue.

Chronarch MGL New issue

Sent in my Chronarch MGL XG in to Shimano as it quickly became "geary". Took a month but just got it back and took it out today. They replaced the main and pinion gear and it feels great again. Not sure what was done incorrectly but now the anti reverse slips- I have never had a reel do th...

Re: metanium mgl and chronarch mgl gear interchangeability

Any solutions to this problem? My chronarch mgl is quite "geary" feeling as well. I love the way the reel fits in my hand but it has a very noticeable feeling and vibration. Even a distinct sound upon retrieval. Does not bother me much if it is the only reel i use that day but when i use ...

Re: Nasci?

Well the Nasci's arrived and one of them feels like it is full of cold butter. Not free spinning and feels like I am pulling in a 3 pound log upon retrieval. Back it goes.
