All my Pixzillas are Daiwas but there's nothing like a Conquest or a DC7 Calais.

I have Conquests (50 mainly), Pixzillas (2003) and DC7 Calais mostly. I've been watching for something that might motivate a change but nothing has moved me in a long time. Maybe if someone would make a new orange reel.... :big grin:

i lived in and around Dallas for 20 years but there is just something special about the Hill Country around Austin. I'd pick Austin if you can afford it.

Daiko is no longer making rods. You would need to find a used or old stock one. Yes, it would be a search for a used one but it's hands down the best light BC rod I ever had the pleasure to fish with. I have searched to jupiter and back with no luck finding one of these. IMO, there is still no better frog reel than a Calais DC7.

Go to advanced search
