Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?

Thank you ScoobyDoo for initiating this thread and your excellent work field testing. Having read this I've learned not only about the concept z, but also quite a bit about reels in general from your knowledgeable responses throughout. Based on your video and this thread, I can't see any bias In you...

Re: Broken Rod Streaks

Yes; Went though one recently. Had not broken a rod in decades. Then legend elite dock flipping a 4 pounder carelessly. Hemmed and hawed about sending it in for their pay for the guides warranty broken-which is cool anyway given it was my fault. While that one was sent in, broke a legend tournament ...

Re: Best Custom Handle company?

Avail for aluminum. The lightness and look simply can't be touched. I prefer the RCS carbon handles. The new version with the Slp works stamp is beautiful. Yes indeed regarding that new stamped slp handle. Thought it looked a little silly in pictures, but in hand it's really sharp. Really dresses u...

I dig your fishing hole. I could probably spend hours there without caring if I got a bite.

Re: Megabass Vision 110 vs Lucky Craft Pointer

I have to confess. I have some jerk baits, but do not enjoy fishing them and have had limited success. I do need to get better at this technique. If you could only have one jerk bait to fish, which one would it be? Your go-to color would be nice. Just stay with it all day this time of year and it w...

I appreciate the ambidextrous approach. Nice choices in tackle as well and certainly cool pics.

I can't think of a high end spinning stick that didn't perfectly match a Stella. That real seems quite universal in its ability to match visually. Enjoy those master tools on the water!

Re: TDZ 103H Racing Illusion

The color scheme is perfect. But that finish (eggshel I guess it's called?) really sets it off. It's absolutely gorgeous, but in a I'm not too pretty to fish way. Nicely done.

Re: TD-S "Greenie" original (circa 1997-98)

I think you would need to find the right collector, especially if it's not mint. I go to an old school bait shop now and again that's also a sort of tackle antique store. It's a combination of some really cool older stuff and some junk. The guy that owns it would probably price this rod around 120, ...

Re: Looking for a spinning rod to throw larger baits (1/4-1/2)oz.

I fish this way when the conditions call for it. Depending on the time of year, I can go a week or more without picking up a baitcaster even though they dominate my collection. It can be very effective and it's fun. When they are crushing lures, I use a st croix legend tournament TBS71MF. When I nee...

Re: Help me pick a big spinning reel.

I have the exact ci4 reel DirtyD4 speaks of in 4000 size. I bought it new when they came out. Just used it today. It's a great reel and it feels smaller than other shimano 4000s in hand. I use more expensive reels and have more daiwa than shimanos, but I go back to this one frequently. It just feels...
