Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

The new sanded cork are the revised Tatula rods. The Elite rods are still going to be silver with EVA. As for he Zillion casting reel rumor has it they are being discontinued due to the new Tatula variants. This is what I was told at the daiwa booth today. That would shock me. Daiwa's most known re...

Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?

have the gen 1 2pc medium in 6.10. Its great and sensitive, but feels more like a medium heavy than a medium. A bit too stiff for my taste. I think it's pretty spot on power wise, in contrast to most JDM rods. If I had to guess, I'd say it's somewhere between 375 and 400 grams of power. Its spot on...

Re: 18 Poison Adrena jdm worth it?

Your thoughts? Worth it? I'm looking at their two piece medium light and medium casting rods. I have a two piece BFS zodias and was wondering if adrena is a worthy upgrade. Any other suggestions for two piece casting rods in that power rating? Here in Canada we pretty much have nothing that's two p...

Re: Steez a tension knob

With the sv reels I've fished, I've dailed in the spool tension from the start to the line and lure I was using until I was happy with the casting. I didn't read or realize the stuff about factory settings. I guess I'm the typical dude that doesn't read instructions. That's worked for me fine though

Re: Observations of Conquest 904c vs. NRX894c

Your description of the 904c hits a chord with my (admitidly limited-weeks) experience with a heavy power ultima. Anyone have direct experience comparing similarly rated conquests versus ultimas with the nrx as a standard?

I have a feeling that when you try some vag (wing), you'll enjoy the way it feels. I like it particularly after dark. No fuss, no muss. Can't see sheet? No problem. Just let 'er rip.

Mine arrived this weekend also! Popped my cherry this morning (ha ha). Calm water, hot, was lucky to get a little bite. Was zinging 'em though. All I had was 1/2 oz hard baits for that rod, but they flew like bullets :D

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

Not to derail the thread ,but just a quick follow up on warranty from the previous discussions. Both rods are being replaced under warranty after their assessment. I won’t go into great detail but megabass stepped up and has been very good to work with. They have communicated well throughout the en...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??

Honestly, if I was a rod company and you sent in a broken rod and I replaced it for free, then you immediately broke the second rod just like the first, I'd charge you full price too. ...[/quote] Agreed. If you haven't broken a rod, you ain't fishing. I think one do over is a fair deal. I buy a lot ...
