Re: Steez racing Design 7011HRB

Oh man Dom. Inspiring indeed. I’m going to approach my first outing with the jigga differently. I would have probably come home on Friday unpacked it, spooled up a reel and gone casting off the bank for an hour until I hopefully hooked into one like an impatient child. Instead; I think I’ll take my ...

Re: Steez racing Design 7011HRB

Mine should be arriving Friday. I held off as long as I could. The MH hustler has been so good to me that it made the plunge easier. Are they worth the money? I’m not sure; you might have to be crazy in a certain way which likely explains me.

Re: New Poison Adrena

I’ve been considering another rod in this line up. How’s the backbone of the 72? I was looking at the model above the 72 but than the Otomat lingers in my ear. Judging by the other adrenas the 72H should be stout, i have the 72H expride so i ddint get the Adrena model. Understood. I was hoping for ...

Re: Post purple

Don’t you love when you get home from work and you got a couple rod tubes just leaning against the house waiting for you to get home? Since it is the 2018 purple edition, and 2019 is the year of no more shelf queens I had to have something to match my P.O. TD-Z. I grabbed a Designo Leben DLT-C71H+R...

Re: Loose rod grip

Will it slide away from the reel seat at all? No, there's a check at the back side that doesn't move, but the EVA and the check between that and the reel seat both spin. This happened to me on a zbone not too long ago. I tried a few different epoxies after a special trip to the local hardware and a...

Re: Tulala Monstruo 710

That’s fantastic! I recommend checking out DRT USA site. I was pleasantly surprised with what they are now making available in the US and the DRT/Tulala offering sitting in the rods menu.

Never thought I would be in this neck of the woods. :D As a die hard Daiwa fan, all I can say.... is that this reel is sick!

My crappy pictures do no justice.

Re: Travel rod

The problem is the solid insert is actually loose inside the blank. This is sounding like a warranty issue to me. Too new of a rod for there to be moving pieces already. Lots of rods can creak at first; been told that’s due to epoxy setting. But if you think it could compromise the structure of the...

Re: G.Loomis/Shimano Swimbait Rod/Reel/Line Advice Please

For an affordable nice option I went with the Powell Endurance Casting Rod 7'6" Mag Medium Heavy, is rated to 3oz and have thrown 2.5oz baits on it. I have a Shimano Cardiff 301 spooled with 20lb SunLine Assassin on it. The whole big swimbait game in new to me and didn’t want to spend to much on my...

Re: Tulala blanks?

Suprising to see that Tulala showed up at ICast..granted with what might have been the most skeletal booth in the history of the show. Wish the team at TT could have replaced the Plano Edge coverage with a page dedicated to a very interesting JDM brand that appears want to make an introduction to t...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

It remains the smoothest reel I own after winching a lot of fish out of thick Florida grass. I’ve heard of at least one case of finish getting messed up on this board. Mine remains without any chips wounds, but I’ve been protecting it better than my skin, which is stupid. I prefer it over my steez s...

Re: Got on the water

I was able to break away from school work ( wife left me alone and took the kids so I could concentrate on my homework) and headed to the water. I was in such a rush I forgot my wallet. No money or identification. I keep pictures in my phone now and Applepay got me some gas. While on the water I go...

Re: Tulala blanks?

Thank you. Here’s a dumb question. What do you mean by “snipe?” I’ve heard it a few times and I get the feeling it’s being used in a way I’m not familiar with. Some places offer a service to buy you the rod you want from a place that does not ship and send it to you. They have the shipping figured ...
