Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

Just FYI, 903 is around 10g heavier than 893. But I can't feel much difference from balance point of view.
spookybaits wrote:How does the Conquest 903 compare to the NRX 893?

I know the 893 is one of the most well loved rods in the NRX lineup- could the conquest 903 be a suitable replacement?

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods

Conquest 903 and 904 do feel litter tip heavier when comparing 843 and 844 side by side.

But to be honest, conquest 904 and 905 have already felt more balanced comparing with NRX 894 and 895.

But I guess JDM will love conquest 842 best.

Conquest 843c: 110gr/3.88oz

Megabass X7 Destruction: 135gr/4.74oz

2013 Orochi XX Tour Versatile: 168gr/5.92oz
I was surprised by the Tour Versatile weight. Feels much better than that in hand.

Re: Tatula SV SLP

It looks so cool~~~~ But the price is still little high from my point of view. And so sad it does not support standard 34mm Daiwa Steez TD-Z spool. At the same price, Tatula SV SLP will have to face shimano new scorpion dc or even a very nice condition used Steez ](*,) I am not going to spend $260 f...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

I only see they have Steez 34mm version deep spool. I assume deep spool is not that popular as BFS one in market. Has anyone tried the deep version DIY spool? Is it also good for light bait(under 1/8oz) as original DIY spool? Thanks in advance! I have the spool but so far I have only used it with 1/...

I have the spool but so far I have only used it with 1/8-1/4 oz lures for which it works great. Below 1/8 oz I do not know...will try next week or so...

Re: Good news (I think) for SV103 owners...

It sounds like a good news for sure! I also wish they could upgrade SV103 with clicking casting control. Just picked up a 2017-2018 Daiwa catalog with all the new products and the SV103H and XS both still appear in the catalog. Could it be they are not discontinued? The 105 is also in there along wi...
