Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Having said that, just now found the High gear Left hand model in stock at JapanTackle. Was 530 USD (70 USD more than on Digitaka), but oh well. Was already expensive in the first place... ;)

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Just talked to my contact at JapanLureshop. He told me that the high gear left hand models will be out of stock till June, maybe even July since Daiwa seems to have some issues with production.

That just sucks...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Looks like even my German countrymen are excited about this reel! And that has to say something when a super critical German gets that excited! ;)

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

So, you both having both reels, which reel would you recommend me? I think the alphas is better bang for the buck but by fishing the steez you can see why its the flagship reel. It is a work of art and you will pay to have all the goodies.. In tt fashion i say get both as Tim so eloquenty...

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

Weight, mainly. The Steez is stupid-light and smooth, but that Alphas is no slouch. I do like the clicking drag in the Steez-it makes me wish every reel I own had this feature. But performance wise, you would rate them equal in terms of casting? Can I ask what you are using the reels for? What line...

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

That would definitely be a worthy replacement. U should have no problem skipping with the Alphas. Heck, my OG Alphas Type F skipped pretty well with the stock spool. But with the SV spool thats in it now, its a skipping beast! Thanks again! Now I just need to make up my mind if 200 usd more are wor...

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

Mine is on a 6-5 UL Corzza. With 8# braid, I can cast a 1/16 crappie jig 45-50 ft. 1/8 will be no problem with the right rod. How does the reel perform for 1/8oz lures? I am wondering if the reel would make sense on my 852NRX and 8-10 pound line. Thanks. !/8 is pretty dam light but I think on the r...

So now what do you think TW or CT TW??? Which of the generations is in the lead??? If I start my collection I think the A/SV TW will be my starting point, followed by the CT if I start to see more reviews concerning it...
I second that question! :)

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Thats an apples to oranges comparison. Centri-braking profiles and mag-braking profiles are completely different, even with the same line. The weight of a full spool will affect both, but the comparison soley on weight wont give you an accurate snapshot of overall performance with any specific weig...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Hi guys,
does anybody have the chance to weigh the spool (preferably spooled with 10 pound Fluro)? I want to compare it to my MGExtreme2's to see which would work better for 1/8oz lures.

Thanks! :)

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I am getting excited! Would you recommend the reel for 1/8 - 1/4 oz lures with 9- 10 pound fluro on the NRX 852c? Since I am a bankfisheeman for the most part, I need the a ility to get some distance in my casts and would still prefer to have some line left on the spool in case the frsh water tuna ...
