Re: New Kistler Zbone!?

when they went missing about a month ago I assumed that the situation. The 7'3H is to me more sensitive then my NRX 894's but both have a place in my boat. Will be nice to see what the new one looks like. Full rear grip and no foregrip as the standard model would be nice but I guess I am dreaming.

Re: Custom Kistler H3 MAD 7'-4"

would be interesting to test against my 7'3 Hexfast HE3. I would say the HE3 fishes like a Fast action but man does it have some power.

Met MGL XG - US model if you will be using heavy FC, Japan import works great with braid or lighter FC. I really like the braid though on the Met.

I think you will like your zbone; at least I do. it fishes like a 7ft rod because of the balance and low weight and as I posted is ultra sensitive on the light bite in my hand. My guess is you will think this rod great with a 3/8oz total weight rig. On the light 1/4oz jig I will normally have a smal...

pm replied Just a note on big fish. The first big fish that I thought was a 10 was actually like 9'6 and I caught it on a MBR 844 glx. the rod actually was not ideal for such a fish so when I say the 894 is proven to me as a big bass rod I really mean that. a note on fishing south florida, it is oft...

Re: Jigs: Conquest 904C vs Legend X 7'6" Med Hvy vs Steez SVF AGS 7'6" vs NRX 894C JWR

I need to land a couple of +8lb bass on the HE3 or zbone before I will have the confidence I have in the NRX 894. I've seen the NRX handle with precision a 12.55lb as she went crazy under the boat. I lost a 6 or 7 on the zbone in November but may be a simple one off poor hookset deal. I'm sure I've...

Re: Jigs: Conquest 904C vs Legend X 7'6" Med Hvy vs Steez SVF AGS 7'6" vs NRX 894C JWR

putting the weights on the 894 and pitching with it all day and making some casts, I don't physically sense that the rod is heavier then the HE3 in total. Only when I think about the HE3 being 4.3oz and the NRX at 5.4oz with my cap do I get a little sad. Last week I had one of my Met MGL's with my 3...

Interesting! I have the 7 HXF Helium 3 and I love the rod. Super light and sensitive. Just a bit too short (I should have gone with the 7'3). "The Kistler in my hand underwhelmed initially" what do you mean with that? I should prob get the Zbone into the equation... on the underwhelmed, c...

Re: Jigs: Conquest 904C vs Legend X 7'6" Med Hvy vs Steez SVF AGS 7'6" vs NRX 894C JWR

Me thinks you missed a key option in your search, the Kistler zbone 7'3 Heavy before I make another comment, I should note that I fish 30# braid much of the time. I don't think a rod suddenly becomes non-sensitive fishing FC line but which line you use has impact on overall speed of the hook set and...

Re: Polarized Sunglasses for low light conditions

our use case may be different. I'm fishing on lakes where without a relatively high sun you can't see anything in the water with any glass. Low light I was taking as the first and last hour in my day.

Re: Polarized Sunglasses for low light conditions

I use some safety glasses off amazon at $10 for my low light glasses. They have yellow lens. Couple of reasons. 1- Never fish or boat without something to protect your eyes. Bugs at low light, topwater lures flying back at you. 2- In low light, I can't see in the water no matter what and my eyes don...

sorry, misread

852c likely good choice but I think many will say the spinning reel gives a more natural fall rate. I think it may be true but I fishing casting any time I can

Re: New Senko/Neko Rod

senko and ned rod not the same for me. a 5 inch senko is about 3/8oz. My Ned rig likely a bit less then 1/4oz. A senko I throw into grass most of the time, my Ned rig is open hook. Senko I use a BSR 852GLX or more ideally a NRX 893 or 894 casting rod. Let me focus on the Ned for a moment- tried it o...
