That & the fact the big part of fishing I like the most isn't actually fishing but getting away & into nature. Away from traffic, cell phones, work, People. If I here over the loud speaker that some morons lights are on While I hooking a bass it kinda might put a cramp in the whole thing.

Re: A question for BIG GAME tackle users
I don't cut the barbs off but mearly bend them back with a set of pliers & I do this to all my lures, including the Super Shad :) . I read an article about mortality rates with time out of the water with Muskies & large Pike. I figured the Quicker I can get C.P.R. done & get the fish back in the wat...

I use the Quantum Hot Sauce on all my gear. I know it's know Diawa but this can't be beat. It's a permalube. It bonds with the metal. I didn't believe it either but I lubed my stuff last year & it's still there & needs no more this year.

Re: Am I Normal?
Your completely normal. I do the same & I fish medium-light.medium, & Heavy. Anti reverse is on all the time--IMO the selector switch is useless & just adds one more area to get dirt into the reel.

Re: Balance..Does reel = rod?
I'd buy a $400 reel & a $100 Rod.
IMO the reel is more important then the rod. Not to say I'd buy a $9.99 Special at Wal-Mart but a reasonably marginal rod with a great reel will fish alot better, longer, & with alot less hassels then then a great rod with a marginal reel

Re: Titanium Spinnerbaits?
I've used the Ti in-line spinners & they're fairly decent. I have one & thats all I'll even buy. The Ti Liters aren't worth it either. I bought one a few years back, first fish hit it & it bent the swivel, & the split ring broke. I won't buy anything with TI except reels with the Ti lip on the spool...
