Take a look at the shimano expride 1711XH. It's a beast of a rod and a great for punching. It's also very durable, no issues in my mind to make some huge hooksets with this rod. On the other hand, if you enjoy snapping rods on the hookset, the warhammer or other MB offerings might be a good choice....

I don't have a set "after x amount of fish" or "after x amount of minutes." I just check my line and knot for fraying every so often and re-tie accordingly.

The Steez does not appear to be significantly smaller is size compared to the current SV TW. The new version is only 5 grams lighter according to the specs.
