GLX 894 FPR weight??
Anyone know the weight of a GLX 894 FPR? How much heavier would it be compared to a 895 JWR? Which rod would be better for punching up to 1 oz weights and doubling as a hollow frog rod?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Re: Loomis crankbait rods for Traps and Spooks
How does the TWR 773C do with spooks? The 6'5" length should be perfect for walking baits.

Loomis crankbait rods for Traps and Spooks
I am wanting a rod to throw 1/2 oz traps and to double up as a spook rod. I am considering the CBR843 and CBR845, but leaning towards the 845. Any suggestion on the better of the two for these baits which I normally fish on MBR 783 and 843 rods? I would like to keep them open for buzzbaits and spinn...

Loomis IMX rods
For reaction bait type rods, how do the new IMX MBR rods compare to the previous generation? For those of you that own both, which ones you like better?

Re: Lew's TLP1SHZ Pro Speed Spool 7.1:1
I found another 6.1:1 on Ebay and I am going to send it to Garrett at Lews to have it converted to 7.1:1, along with putting a 95mm handle on it, same one on the TP reels. He already agreed to swap out handles on the first one for just postage money. Thanks guys.

Yes, it's the 2014/2015 model. Too bad I need a right hand, I would be very interested.paulito wrote:Is this the previous one? I have a new one. Never seen water or line. I also have an extra spool for it. It's a left hand retrieve 7:1.

Lew's TLP1SHZ Pro Speed Spool 7.1:1
Anyone know where I can find a new one or one in excellent condition? I lucked up and found a new one on EBay in the 6 ratio, but I would like to find another one for my pitching rod.

You can find new Lews Tournament MB reels in that range. Great reel in that price market.

Re: G Loomis rod ???
Well, I ended up returning a couple of GL3 rods in exchange for a GLX 894C JWR and I also picked up a GLX 853C JWR demo from the Tackle Trap. I have IMX MBR rods in 782, 783, 843 and 844, so I have a pretty good arsenal now. What would make a better hollow body frog rod, the MBR 844 or the 894 JWR? ...

Re: G Loomis rod ???
Thanks guys. You got me looking for a GLX rod now, LoL. Is there much difference between a 894C JWR vs a 894C FPR?

G Loomis rod ???
I am wanting to pick up a new rod and wanted some advice on the right choice. My budget limits me to the IMX price range, so that is the starting point. I am wanting a 7ft to 7ft plus rod for flipping and pitching jigs up to 1/2 oz, and primarily Texas rigged craws and creatures, probably with Power...
