IXA and ZPI parts, do the colors match?

Anyone know how close of a match IXA's "light blue" and ZPI's "blue"? They look like a near match in pictures.

Re: New Poison Adrena

Just wanted to note that while looking on Shimano Japan's website today, these Adrenas make use of the new Spiral X Core technology. In comparison with Spiral X, the torsion strength has been increased by 10% and the crushing strength has been increased by 15%. Is the new 6'10" a glass rod? It has a...

Re: We really not gonna talk about the new 2020 Ultima 172H “full carbon triangle grip”?

Looks interesting, saw a photo of the rod on the Tackle Trap's Instagram story a day or two ago. Looks like the additional models make use of the newer Spiral X Core technology too. Can anyone with a current model Ultima (preferably 172H) confirm whether the guides are all Torzite or a mix of Torzit...

Re: JDM Shimano vs USDM Gloomis Comparisons

Based on like 1 video I saw, the *new* Poison Adrena is more sensitive than the Poison Glorious and is closer to GLX level, possibly approaching NRX. As far as build quality goes, I've read quite a few complaints about the GLX and even NRX. No such complaints about the new PA. Can you post a link? ...

Re: Bifflehead Rod

The new Adrena handle doesn't bother me in the cold. Though, if you think your Exprides make your hands cold, the Adrena has the same ci4 reel seat. The new handle is definitely slick when wet as has been mentioned in other threads here on TT. I haven't fished the new Adrena 7'2H but have a lot of t...

Re: —Daiwa Catalina TW 4.9:1–

Was talking with a buddy regarding the Catalina's line capacity. Decided to do the math but it doesn't add up in my opinion. Seem to not hold a lot of 20lb sniper. Tackle trap claims 140yds of 50lb braid. I used the info of basic PowerPro, 50lb has a diameter of 0.36mm. Pretty close to that of 20lb ...

Re: Shimano BFS rods question

Fair points. I do believe I need to get a BFS rod for the 5 gram lures I plan to throw. I was just shocked that the Shimano BFS rods were mostly rated at the low end at 4 grams. Not a big jump from the low end rating of 5 grams on my currently used Poison Adrena ML.

Shimano BFS rods question

I must note I have no BFS equipment experience. I've been considering getting a Shimano BFS rod for the past month or so. Something I've noticed however is that nearly all their BFS rods are rated at the low end at 4 grams. I've got a newest generation Poison Adrena 6'6 ML that's rated down to 5 gra...

Re: Steez SV TW bent stabilizer bar

No, the line was passed over it. I put a half spool of line on the stock spool to try my hand at casting an 8 gram tube. It would seem that the line made contact with the stabilizer bar when the spool was low fill. The bar appears to have slightly bent downward with a slight bow and this was done tr...

Steez SV TW bent stabilizer bar

This part is supposed to be straight right? Just noticed that mine is slightly bent out of shape. I would think I did the damage trying to break a snag free and the line made contact with it ](*,)

Re: Where are the shimanos?

Rods are 7'm xc, 6'10"m mighty stroke, 6'11" mh hyper approach, and 7-4" mh biwako. Ordered 2 from ebay (shimreels), then 2 from jdm tackle haven. Tackle haven is by far the cheapest place to buy jdm rods I found out...and it's not even close. Shipping was also only $75 for both rods from haven, sh...

Re: Protecting reels from scratches

Check out "wanees.jp" on Instagram. Some interesting designs on protective decals that are made for reels. There was some chatter on them awhile back in another thread on here. I don't believe they ship to the U.S., at least they didn't back when I began following their IG page.
