Re: New Line of Concept Reels
kp spool and the kp reel were great. Just wish there was a lower cost shallow spool for these. i put the DIY spools in my diawas and they run like 35$. maybe they will make some for the concepts?

Re: New Line of Concept Reels
thanks for the reply. I understand many people need the high capacity, and only a minority of people use a shallow spool. However, i hope you do consider a simple shallow aluminium spool for the trick shop in the future. The concept reels do a great job of throwing lighter baits, i just hate putting...

Re: New Line of Concept Reels
I had a concept KP for a while and really liked it. Is there any chance you will offer a shallow spool that is cheaper than the KP spool? My Concept A is good for light baites, but i would love a shallower spool. If i spend the money on the KP spool, the reel will cost as much as my Alphas 105sv, so...

Re: Looking for a low cost ML casting rod
thanks guys! All this really helps. I like 2 piece rods, as its easier to get in the car. One of my favorite "beater" rods is a cheap field and stream 5'6" M 2 piece rod. Runs like 25$. Its really whippy, so i cast a ned rig a mile.

Re: Looking for a low cost ML casting rod
I have (2) of the teton rods. I broke the tips myself, so i just ordered 3 replacements last year to save on shipping
I like to piece rods. Can you guys direct me to a good place to purchase the rods you are recommending?

Looking for a low cost ML casting rod
I do a lot of creek fishing and mainly use my Kuying Teton L casting rod. However, i am finding sometimes i wish i had a bit more backbone. I am looking for a rod that is one step up from this in stiffness, while still being cheap. On Aliexpress i thee they show a Abu Vengeance 2 piece ML casting ro...

Re: Did some creek fishing last night
The perch is a green ear hybrid i think, tons of them down here. Water is probably a little cooler and clearer up by you. These things have big mouths and are not afraid to hit lures way bigger then they should. They are pretty thick too. Put up a good fight.

Re: Casitas vs. MGL
i had a casitas last year. I sold it pretty quick as i just liked the curado 70 better. There was nothing the casitas did better than the 70, so i sold it and bought another 70

Re: Which BFS reel: Conquest vs Aldebaran vs SV103 (with BFS spool)
What dont you like about the scorpion? SInce it is basically a curado 70, and i have several i love, just wondering what the issue is. I have a SV105 and love it. Cast 1/8" swim baits all day. Also have a basic tatula ct with a rays spool, and it cast slightly farther than the sv105 some days. Also,...

Re: Looking for a BFS set up
for really small stuff, i am using a SV105 on a kuying L action rod. I also use stock curado 70's (they now have BFS spools for these) or a tatula CT with the Rays semi shallow spool. I cast 1/8" stuff all day with this stuff. If i need something slightly stiffer, i have a Academy house brand 6'6" m...

Re: Offroad Enthusiasts – Advice Needed
if its just for off road use only, have someone make one. Have a receiver mount welded to the front frame, and mount the winch on a pad that an fit into the receiver. That way you can move it from the front of the vehicle to the back if needed. also, have you looked into adding front and rear locker...
