Re: Scorpion 71 vs Curado71

Thank Y'all for the replies. I was most interested in the Scorpion vs Curado. I mention the Curado K because I was thinking about the smaller frogs that are 1/4oz (pond frogs). I have a bunch of smaller 5" worms that I have discovered that were stored away.these are from the mid 70's. Fished them on...

Scorpion 71 vs Curado71

I am trying to decide between these 2 reels. Other than the color I see where the Scorpion has 1 more bearing. I am wondering where it goes & what is it used for. I am going to use it for fishing with baits that weigh from 3/16 to 1/2 oz. which will include frogs up to 1/2 oz. I was thinking a Curad...

Re: Prescription Sunglasses?

I buy the fit overs from Cocoons & have my eye doctor put my prescription lenses in them. Works well for me.

Re: UPS causes Tacklewarehouse Issue

I always use the 2 day shipping & UPS is late about 30% of the time. I just call T/W , they check & refund my $5. I don't gripe about there shipping I feel I am making out.

Re: 7.1 or 7.3 ft rod for hollow bodied frogs

Also you might check out the spec's on a Dobyns Champion XP DC 736 C. I fish Santee Cooper in heavy cover & this rod has the power to get them out of it plus it will not break the bank. They also have a open water version, Dobyns Champion XP DC 735 C. I chose the heavier power because of the heavy c...

Need Help with Shimano Scorpion 2017 DC

I received a 101 HG today. On the bottom right front Is a dial that I think sets the brakes. It has open which lets me open the side plate, Then the numbers 1,2,3,4 & A Which I think sets the number of brakes with A being all.Upon removing the side plate there is a pink dot on the sleeve. On the dia...

Re: Tackle warehouse price matching rules

Wow you have got to be kidding. T/W provides 1st. class service. Just recently they matched a priced on 2 G Loomis IMX rods with not one problem. Then on Memorial Day I got the regular discount plus my military one. I felt that was super of them. It is a FIRST CLASS ORGANIZATION.

Re: Plastic Floating Frogs

I have a similar frog as the Bog Frog. It's the 3:16 no bull frog & is 7" long. It sure gets the blow ups, my hook up ratio is probley around 30 to 40%. It would be higher if I would wait until I feel the weight of the fish before setting the hook

Re: Snake Lures

I still have a handful of both the large & medium one & still fish them. I seem to have a better catch ratio on the smaller one.

Antares AR Handle

I am looking to replace the handles on the Antares AR (left) & a Scorpion 1001. Not looking for anything fancy just the same style but longer. A Shimano reel that has the same style handle that would fit on these reels would be great.
Thanks for your help
