As an owner of 5 old version GLX that I love. My favorite rods hands down. I think these new versions look incredible.
They are so clean looking, with very nice reel seats and grips.

Re: New GLX
Not that I can afford one lol, but the one set of rods that was missing from the old GLX line was SJR and MBR rods in the 7'6 lengths. The IMX Pro and NRX + have them but not in the middle with the GLX. It looks like these aren't included this time around either. Its very weird. They have added som...

Re: Power BFS Rod: Sierra or Rebellion?
You want a power BFS rod, get a GLX 842. Best you can get right there.
Re: New GLX
G Loomis sent out an email yesterday. A big news teaser for tomorrow.

Re: What’s up with Kistler rods??
Eh, they are ridiculous with their pricing. Everything is so over priced. Then they occasionally have "BIG" sales to bring them down to a decent price. They've been so up and down the last few years changing around blanks, then raising prices, then changing the list price because it was too high. I ...

Re: Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?
I don't have the models you are talking about, but I do have 2-842, 2-843, 1-844, 2-852 rods. For me there's nothing lacking with them. They are my favorite rods made. Hoping the new version that should be coming out in 2024 are just as good.

Re: GLX MBR843C vs Poison Adrena 611 Medium+ for T-rigs
I've held that PA 6'11", but not fished it. I own two GLX 843 MBR's and can say it's perfect for what you want. The 843 is my main 3/16-1/4oz T-Rig rod. It's also great for spinnerbaits, 1/4-5/16oz jigs, 1/4oz mini max Chatterbaits, and flukes. I always have at least one every trip out, lot's of tim...

Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 uses
Just picked up a super clean, almost looks unused Morethan. Don't know much about them other than they are based on the Steez A frame, which is a favorite reel of mine. I have the 8 speed version. I know it's supposed to be a more solid Steez A. Does anyone use it for standard bass fishing uses, or ...

Re: New Steez A II vs High End Shimano’s
I'm not brand loyal, except that I only use Daiwa and Shimano reels. Haha I have four current Zillions, two 2017 Steez A, and one Steez A II. Three JDM Met MGL, two Bantam MGL reels on the Shimano side. Of all these reels the only issues I've had has been rough gears in two Mets and one Bantam. Beca...

Re: ML bottom contact rod recommedation
I'm on the prowl for a dedicated 1/4 oz finesse jig/bottom contact casting rod. Total bait weight=8-12 grams... Has anyone experience with the Shimano Expride 72ML(A or B?) and would it have have sufficient power? If I had $600 I'd just get the Daiwa Steez AGS 'The Sensor'...but on paper the Sensor...

Re: 2021 Daiwa Zillion SV TW
I'm looking for any feedback on the 2021 Zillion. I'm interested in purchasing this reel and pairing it with an NRX MBR 844C. There seems to be a consensus that these Daiwa reels don't handle leader to braid very well. I would be using 30 lb braid with a 15 lb flurocarbon leader. I tie an FG knot. ...

Daiwa Tatula 7'3" Swimbait rod users
Anyone out there throwing the Daiwa Tatula 7'3" Swimbait rod? It's rated to 4oz and has a regular action. I'll be wanting to use it with S-Waver 168, 6" Magdrafts with 3/4oz belly hook, 6.8" Kietech with 3/8 or 3/4oz belly hook. So basically swim baiting, but not really big ones. Most of the baits I...
