Re: Nucanoe

I've fished out of a Frontier 10 a few times using a trolling motor. It was very comfortable and easy to fish out of.

Re: Feathered trebles on Sammy, Spook, etc. tails?

I buy Spook JR's that come with a feathered treble that are fantastic baits. I have some that don't have feathers too, and I've never noticed any difference between them. I do see a difference sometimes in so far as the dressed hooks getting more bites sometimes.

Re: Wacky hook size for 5" Senko?

I've been using the VMC Neko hooks in 1/0 or Gamakatsu B10 S. They have a longer shank, and it's increased my hook up ratio.

Re: Which braid for heavy jig set up?

I use original recipe power pro yellow in 30lb test with a 15-20lb leader. Do you dislike the original PP lines?

I've never stored them in anything but the original bags. It works well for me.

Re: Ned Rod

I use a St Croix Legend Walleye rod. 6'6" ML. It is the perfect Ned Rig rod. It can cast light lures well and has enough backbone when needed. I pair it with a Tatula LT 2000, and it's a beautiful combo. I know some guys don't like to use a rod designed to catch Walleye, but I'm OK with it. I compar...

Re: New Tatula 150

With two seasons under my belt with two 150's I will say it's one of the better Tatula BC reels. The 100 I had was not as smooth or solid feeling as the 150 is. I returned mine and bought another 150. I'm not a spool measurer or nit picker about specs, so I will just add that this reel feels excelle...

Re: Best braid for spinning reels?

I started using Power Pro 8, 10, and 15lb on my spinning reels years ago. After getting used to general braid operating tactics, and leader knots (I use the FG without any problems) I never felt the need to try something else. I never have any issues, and I love using it. All my spinning reels are l...

I use 8 and 10lb power pro with 4-10lb test leaders. I always use the FG knot and never have any issues.
Good luck!

Re: Kuying Teton arrival, unpacking, first impressions ...

Nice. I have two of the spinning version of that rod. I love them. They have an excellent crisp action and cast well.
Both have a totally straight backbone and the guides are straight. I have caught bass and pike up to 3.5lbs and it handled them great. For me it's a perfect 6lb test line rod. Enjoy!

My favorite topwater rod is a G Loomis IMX 723C.
I still like the shorter rods
